    Idaho State (FCS): Per source, Utah State offensive grad assistant David Fiefia will join the Idaho State staff as running backs / tight ends.

    Buffalo: Whitewater offensive line grad assistant Tyler Pierce will join Lance Leipold’s staff at Buffalo in a similar capacity, per source.

    Tulsa: Luke Olson, who served as a graduate assistant working with the defensive backs the past two seasons, is transitioning to a defensive quality control role.

    Washington: Per source, Davidson offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan will join the staff in a quality control position. Hamdan played quarterback at Boise State for Chris Petersen.

    IUP (D-II): IUP invites applicants for running backs coach.  This is a stipend position with no benefits. Additional responsibilities include video editing and other duties assigned by the head coach. Bachelor’s degree required. College playing experience and previous college coaching experience preferred. Start date for this position is as soon as possible.     Houston: Former Ohio State quarterback Kenny Guiton is joining Tom Herman’s staff as an offensive grad assistant.

    Aurora University: We are no longer accepting applications for the defensive line position & we thank you for the overwhelming interest. Interviews will be conducted over the next few weeks.

    Simon Fraser: Per source, former BC Lions assistant Joe Paopao will be the new offensive coordinator at SFU.

    Colorado State: Mike Bobo has announced the hire of Leah Knight as assistant director of football operations. Knight spent the past two seasons at USF as recruiting operations coordinator.

    New England Patriots: Raymond “Bubba: Ventrone is the new assistant special teams coordinator for the Patriots.

    James Madison (FCS): Per source, Peter Davila will be the new Safeties coach at JMU.  He comes from Otterbein.  We also understand that Steve Sisa will now be Defensive Coordinator / Linebacker Coach.

    Montana State (FCS): Montana State is looking for FCS home game Sept 3 or 5 2015. Would also consider Oct 24 2015. Guarantee is $200,000 or begin home and home series. Please contact senior associate athletic director Dan Davies at ddavies@msubobcats.com

    James Madison: James Madison has hired Jamal Powell to coach the offensive line , per source.

    Samford (FCS – AL): Per source, Bobby Blick is returning to Samford as director of player personnel.

    Louisiana College (D-III): Per source, Dennis Dunn has completed his staff with the promotion of offensive grad assistant Josh Bonadona to running backs coach. We understand that there are currently no open positions on staff.

    Northwestern: Per source, Northwestern has shuffled their staff and currently have no open positions. We hear that offensive quality control assistant David Girardi is moving into a defensive grad assistant role, defensive quality control assistant Keegan Grant wil transition to an offensive quality control job, recruiting assistant Joe Martin is moving to defense quality control and recruiting intern Sean Conley will now serve as a recruiting assistant.

    Wofford (FCS – SC): Former Adams State (D-II – CO) pass game coordinator / receivers coach Steve Neal has accepted the on-campus recruiting coordinator job, per source.

    Oregon: Northwestern defensive grad assistant Kwame Agyeman has accepted a defensive grad assistant jobs with the Ducks, per source. Agyeman played his college ball at Oregon.

    Warner (NAIA – FL): Per source, former Pittsburgh Steeler Dallas Baker has been named wide receivers coach and former Florida defensive grad assistant Chuck Bell will be the program’s new linebackers coach / recruiting coordinator.

    Washington Redskins: Former Titans quarterbacks coach Dave Ragone has joined the Redskins in an offensive quality control role.

    Detroit Lions: Senior personnel adviser James Harris, who has spent six decades in professional football, has decided to retire.

    San Diego Mesa College (JC – CA): Peter Lofthouse has been named head coach at San Diego Mesa College. Lofthouse previously served as the offensive coordinator at Citrus College and also coached as a GA at Baylor and as wide receivers coach at Texas Lutheran.

    Georgia Southern: After a remarkable first FBS season, the school has announced a $100,000 raise (effective July 1, 2015) for head coach Willie Fritz, meaning he will make $500,000 during the 2015-2016 season. The Eagles went 9-3 this past season, including a perfect 8-0 in Sun Belt Conference play.

    Ferris State (D-II – MI): Ferris State is looking to fill an open date on 9/5/2015. Willing to pay a guarantee for a home game. Willing to discuss all options, including playing FCS team.​ Please contact zeitmar@ferris.edu if interested.

    South Florida: Blake Treadwell, who was an assistant at East Lansing HS (MI) last season, has joined the USF staff as an offensive grad assistant. Treadwell played offensive line at Michigan State. Also, UTSA defensive grad assistant Benny Morrison has joined the staff in the same capacity.

    Louisiana College (D-III): Per source, assistant head coach / offensive coordinator Clay Matchett has resigned to pursue business opportunities outside of coaching.

    Delaware State (FCS): Former Central State University (D-II – OH) head coach EJ Junior has been hired as a defensive assistant, per source.

    Mississippi State: The Bulldogs have (finally) announced a four-year extension for Dan Mullen. What this means for Mullen and the coming anarchy in the SEC West.

    Oklahoma State: In addition to Greg Adkins, Mike Gundy has announced the hiring of four assistants. Marcus Arroyo and Jason McEndoo will join Adkins as unspecified on-the-field assistants, and Bill Clay and Darrell Wyatt have been added as analysts.

    Erie Community College (NY): Scott Pilkey was introduced as head coach on Thursday.

    The Royal Caribbean cruise line PR department had the perfect response to stranding Urban Meyer (and 2,500 others) out at sea

    Wagner (FCS – NY): Per source, secondary coach Ryan Fullen will be taking over the defensive coordinator duties, and linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator Tony Brinson has added the title of special teams coordinator.

    Oklahoma State: Former Buffalo Bills tight ends coach Greg Adkins will become the new offensive line coach at Oklahoma State, per source. Adkins was with the Bills the past two seasons and previously coached the offensive line at Syracuse, Tennessee, Troy and Georgia.

    Minot State (D-II – ND): Minot State is looking to hire an offensive and defensive grad assistant. Previous collegiate experience coaching or playing is required. The job includes coaching a position, recruiting, use of digital editing system, and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach and coordinator. The position will begin August 1st. Compensation includes combination of Stipend and Classes. Candidates must apply and be accepted into the Graduate school to be considered.     North Greenville (D-II – SC): Per source, former defensive lineman Joe Novotasky has been hired to coach the defensive line and Rob Green, a former receiver at North Greenville and Wofford, will now coach the receivers.

    Garden City (CC – KS): Per source, Sam Houston State offensive assistant Chris Rogers will be the new tight ends coach at Garden City.

    Big 12: Conference commissioner Bob Bowlsby made just under $2.5 million in 2013, per USA Today.

    North Greenville (D-II – SC): We hear North Greenville already has plans to fill the opening with Tommy Galt leaving for Penn State.

    Lamar (FCS – TX): Per source, Lincoln (PA) head coach Ramon Flanigan will be the new quarterbacks coach at Lamar.

    Penn State: North Greenville (D-II – SC) offensive line coach Tommy Galt will join the Penn State staff, per source.

    Notre Dame: Ron Powlus is returning to Notre Dame as director of player development, per 247.

    Alabama: Per source, South Alabama defensive ends / outside linebackers coach Freddie Roach has accepted a position at Alabama.

    Texas: Longtime assistant Bruce Chambers is now the assistant AD for Arlington (TX) ISD.

    Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jags are expected to hire former Jets GM John Idzik as a consultant according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

    Hawaii: Defensive intern Lance Samuseva has been promoted to defensive line coach according to SI.

    South Florida: Linebackers coach Ray Woodie has been named assistant head coach.

    Another coach, another case of Wisconsin not offering contracts comparable with its peers. Why won’t Barry Alvarez offer multi-year contracts?

    Alderson Broaddus (D-II – PA): Alderson Broaddus University has an immediate opening for a graduate intern running back coach. Candidates must have played running back at the college level or coached running backs at the college level. Applicants will be required to recruit a geographic area, upload, analyze and breakdown film using Hudl, and additional duties assigned by the head coach.     Jersey Coast Academy (JC – NJ): JCA is looking to hire assistnat coaches. Prefer coaches who live in, or near, Jersey Shore. Should possess a bachelor’s degree and, at least, 3 years of HS coaching experience. These positions start around August 7th with regular contact by phone/email during the next few months. Responsibilities include: coaching, mentoring duties, film breakdown (Hudl), recruiting, and program development.     TCU: TCU has formally announced the promotion of Chad Glasgow and DeMontie Cross to co-defensive coordinator spots. Player personnel assistant Dan Sharp will coach the defensive line and defensive GA Paul Gonzales will handle the cornerbacks.

    Old Dominion: Graduate assistant Arick Forrest has been promoted to wide receivers coach.

    Lincoln (D-II – PA): Per source, head coach Roman Flanigan will not return.

    Southern Miss: Per source, former FAU center Mustafa Johnson is joining the staff as an offensive grad assistant.

    Ohio Dominican: Per source, quarterback coach/ recruiting coordinator Zac Bruney has been promoted to Offensive Coordinator. Former Columbus South HS (OH) head coach Keith Dimmy has been hired as an offensive assistant.

    Arkansas: As expected, Jemal Singleton has now been announced as the program’s new running backs coach and special teams coordinator. According to WholeHogSports, Singleton’s deal is for one-year (through June 30th, 2016) and $310,000. He made $280,000 annually at Oklahoma State.

    Tampa Bay Bucs: Jacksonville Jaguars assistant defensive line coach Paul Spicer is joining the Bucs staff in the same role, according to multiple reports.

    Northern State (D-II -SD): Northern State is accepting applications for an offensive graduate assistant working with the tight ends. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: coaching a position group, managing a recruiting area, video breakdown, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Playing and/or coaching experience with tight end/offensive line is preferred. Position includes tuition waiver and stipend, with additional income possibilities. Start Date will be July 15.     Moorpark College (CC – CA): Per source, defensive coordinator Mike Stuart have been promoted to the head coaching position.

    New Mexico State: Per source, Valdosta State (D-II – GA) offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Andy Richman has agreed to become the new offensive line / run game coordinator at New Mexico State.

    Buena Vista (D-III – IA): Buena Vista University is accepting applications for an assistant football coach (defensive backs) and athletics equipment manager. The position will help plan, oversee, instruct, and implement the defensive philosophy, goals, and strategies of the BVU Football program as determined by the head coach and defensive coordinator. In addition, the athletics equipment manager oversees the laundering and storage of athletics apparel for all of our 19 varsity teams. Bachelor’s Degree required and Master’s degree in health, exercise science or a related field is preferred. A background check will be conducted on the final candidate.     Arkansas: Per source, Bret Bielema has offered the running backs / special teams coordinator position to Oklahoma State running backs coach Jemal Singleton. We hear Singleton has not accepted the position yet; but this could, and likely will, play out today. Update> Arkansas has now announced the hiring.

    Wisconsin-Whitewater (D-III): Per source, the staff at UW-Whitewater is starting to take shape. UW-Oshkosh (D-III – WI) co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks and receivers coach Craig Smith will be the offensive coordinator, former Augustana (D-III – IL) offensive line coach Brent Allen will handle the OL duties, South Dakota running backs GA Jace Rindahl will coach the linebackers, and UW-Platteville (D-III – WI) defensive coordinator / inside linebackers coach Rob Erickson will be the new defensive coordinator. We understand that it may be another few days for some of these hires to become official because of Wisconsin state hiring procedures,

    LSU: In addition to hiring Ryan Pugh as an offensive GA, per source, LSU is hiring Cooper Petagna as a player personnel assistant. He currently serving in the same post at Alabama. The New Orleans Times-Picayune also reports Blaine Gautier will join LSU staff as an offensive assistant.

    Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State University is seeking a full-time defensive coach (defensive line/linebackers). Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. 3+ years collegiate coaching experience required. Candidate needs to be able to coordinate special teams and assist in defensive game-planning. This position is a 12-month contract. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a full benefits package. Candidates should apply via this link by March 6th, 2015. No phone calls please.

    Alabama State: Head coach Brian Jenkins will make a base salary of $175,000 in his first season, and will be eligible for an additional $125,000 in bonus money through the length of his three-year deal.

    Western State (D-II – CO): Western State is accepting applications for an offensive graduate assistant (wide receivers). Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience is preferred. Should have completed Undergraduate degree in Exercise Sport Science or relative field. Candidate must apply and be accepted into the High Altitude Exercise Physiology Master of Science program to be considered. Position includes tuition waiver and monthly stipend on a 10-month contract. Western State Colorado University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
