    Shaw University (D-II – NC): Shaw University head coach Robert Massey has finalized his coaching staff with the hire of Gerald kennedy (DBs) and Theric Holt (WRs).

    NCAA Future Football Coaches Academy: The NCAA, along with the AFCA, is putting on their Future Football Coaches Academy January 11-13 in Louisville (to coincide with the AFCA convention). The academy is restricted to those no more than three years removed from college graduation. With only 30 available seats, the selection process is competitive.     FXFL: The Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL) has announced the hiring of head coaches for its four franchises – Terry Shea (Boston Brawlers), John Jenkins (Florida Blacktips), Sandy Buda (Omaha Mammoths) and John Bock (Brooklyn Bolts). Former NFL players Marvin Jones, James Brown, Nate Poole, Deon Dyer and Kelvin Kinney will assistant Bock in Brooklyn, and Rod Rust will serve as a consultant for the Bolts. Don Strock, Danny Hope and Fred O’Connor will also serve as coaching consultants for the league.

    Towson (FCS – MD): Towson Football is looking to fill some contests in their future football schedules. We are particularly looking for contests in 2016 (Sept. 17th) & 2017 (Sept. 23rd) right now. Opportunity for a guarantee game here in 2017.     Massachusetts: The school has announced that Ted Daisher will not return as special teams coordinator, and head coach Mark Whipple will take over special teams duties for the remainder of the season. Daisher also coached the team’s inside linebackers. He was hired as part of Charley Molnar’s staff in 2012, got let go before Molnar himself was dismissed in December, and then re-hired by Whipple.

    SUNY Cortland (D-III – NY): State University of New York at Cortland, an NCAA Div 3 football playing institution, Empire 8 Conference member, is looking to fill two games for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.     Oakland Raiders: With the Raiders off to an 0-2 start after posting back-to-back 4-12 seasons, owner Mark Davis has “privately expressed displeasure with the Raiders’ early returns,” according to CSN Bay Area. Citing sources, the site says Davis has a succession plan in place, and that offensive line coach Tony Sparano could take over for head coach Dennis Allen if the team does not improve.

    Nicholls State (FCS – LA): Former Idaho Vandals offensive coordinator Steve Axman is joining the staff and will serve as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season, per source. Read more on the situation here.
