Please submit a cover letter, resume, and references to [email protected]. No phone calls.
Please join us in praying for former Mississippi State assistant and East Mississippi Community College head coach Tom Goode, who passed away yesterday.

Former Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts head coach Lindy Infante has passed away at age 75. Please join us in praying for his family.
Maryland: Yahoo’s Pat Forde stated this afternoon that he has “confirmed” that Maryland does plan to fire Randy Edsall. “Timing TBD” per Forde. Such an odd way for this to come out, in advance. Makes you wonder who is confirming this and why.
Miami Dolphins: Defensive backs coach Lou Anarumo will take over as defensive coordinator the team has confirmed. Anarumo has been with the Dolphins since 2012. From 2004-2011 Aanrumo served as the defensive backs coach at Purdue and prior to that spent 3 seasons as defensive backs coach at Marshall.
When you have a few minutes, this video with St. X head coach Steve Specht is fantastic
Tennessee: Athletic director Dave Hart and UT Chancellor Jimmy Cheek stated today that they had done their diligence and are very confident there was no inappropriate contact between Butch Jones and one of his players. Jones had already labeled the rumor as “absolutely ridiculous”.
Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins are firing defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle, per Albert Breer of the NFL Network.
Maryland: Jeff Ermann (who covers Maryland for InsideMDSports.com) is reporting that Maryland plans to fire Randy Edsall following this weekend’s game vs. Ohio State. Ermann’s report says that Maryland plans to do so, “barring an unexpected last-minute reversal” as the Terps would be entering their bye week.
RPO Tweaks to Combat Common Defensive Adjustments: Since the release of X&O Labs’ special report on run/pass option concepts last January, defenses have done their due diligence in preparing to defend them. X&O Labs found that most of these defensive answers relied upon tactics such as the following: playing more man coverage structures on the back end, inside leveraging the number three receiver to defend the stick draw concept, overloading coverage to trips formations and using halves coverage players as run/pass defenders. So X&O Labs went back through their research to present a menu of viable solutions to these defensive adjustments. These tweaks can be implemented today and used this weekend against any of the aforementioned defensive counterpoints. See these RPO tweaks: Go here.
NCSA: Connor Degenhardt is a QB Spotlight featured by NCSA Athletic Recruiting on the Scoop this week. Come back to the Scoop daily this week as we highlight more prospects like Connor that can be found by using your free NCSA account.

Western New England (D-III -MA): Western New England University is seeking a game on September 30th, 2017. This is a one season contract game either at home or within 300 miles of Springfield MA. Please contact head football coach Keith Emery at [email protected].
Miami Dolphins: Albert Breer is reporting that the Dolphins are shuffling their offensive staff today and are bringing in veteran assistant Al Saunders as a consultant. In addition, assistant quarterbacks coach Ben Johnson will move to tight ends and wide receivers coach Ken O’Keefe is being re-assigned. The idea of bringing in one former head coach (Mike Smith, Jim Schwartz or Greg Schiano) is still a possibility as well for the defensive side of the ball, as Breer notes that “everything is still fluid down there”.
Texas: Kirk Bohls of the Austin American Statesman asked interim athletic director Mike Perrin if Charlie Strong will definitely be back in 2016. Perrin responded, “I assume so.” From FootballScoop’s perspective, it seems to us that the wheels would have to absolutely fall off the wagon for there to be any chance that Charlie isn’t the head coach next season. Let’s all hope Charlie the his team pull it together and make some progress over the remainder of the schedule.
Northern Michigan (D-II): Northern Michigan is looking to fill their 2016 schedule. The open date is Sept 10th. Looking for a D-II opponent, preferably a home game. Guarantee is possible. Please contact Rob Boss at [email protected] if interested.

Worcester State (D-III – MA): Per source, Cy Butler (who has served as the pass game coordinator / wide receivers coach the past three seasons) is taking over the offensive coordinator role.

Miami Dolphins: Multiple outlets are reporting that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross will meet with head coach Joe Philbin later today to discuss the state of the team. Miami’s loss to the Jets yesterday was their third straight loss of the season and dropped the team to 1-3 overall. As always, stayed glued to The Scoop for details.
Delaware Valley (D-III – PA): Delaware Valley is looking to fill open dates on September 3, 2016 and September 2, 2017 on our schedule. We are looking to travel in 2016 and play at home in 2017. Please contact Duke Greco at [email protected] if interested.
