Rochester (D-III – NY): Chad Martinovich, the head coach at MIT (D-III – MA) the past nine seasons, has been named head coach. Martinovich led MIT to a 1-1 record and Division III playoff berth in 2014, and led the program to a 7-3 finish this past fall.

Michigan State: Coaching staff update for Mark Dantonio’s staff at MSU.

Oklahoma State: The ongoing search for the Cowboys defensive coordinator position has included talks with six candidates including Tulane defensive coordinator Jack Curtis, South Carolina assistant head coach Lance Thompson, Duke defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, Troy defensive coordinator Vic Koenning, and two additional candidates, including one from the FCS level, according to Jake Trotter of ESPN.

Arkansas State: Scotty Conley will join the same as assistant AD of football operations, sources tell FootballScoop. Conley previously served as the DFO and director of high school relations at North Texas.

NFL: Senior VP of officiating Alberto Riveron will return for the 2018 season, Adam Schefter tweets.

Green Bay Packers: Jason La Canfora tweets that Jason Simmons is the secondary coach, not assistant secondary coach, as was previously reported elsewhere.

Colorado: Eastern Illinois (FCS) co-defensive coordinator Kwahn Drake is expected to join the Colorado staff as defensive line coach, per a tweet from Dan Wolken.

James Bettcher: The former Cardinals defensive coordinator is scheduled to meet with the Titans and Giants for their vacant coordinator jobs at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, per Ian Rapoport.

Incarnate Word (FCS – TX): Cody Crill has been formally introduced as the program’s offensive coordinator. Crill was the head coach at Navarro College (JC – TX).

UNLV: Per source, Idaho linebackers coach Eric Brown is leaving to join the UNLV staff.

Ohio State: After turning down the Titans’ offensive coordinator job, Ryan Day has been promoted to Ohio State’s offensive coordinator. More on the move here.

FAU: Source tells FootballScoop UNLV offensive line coach John Garrison will be the new offensive line coach at FAU. Garrison has served as UNLV’s OL coach since 2015. He previously had coached offensive line at Nebraska as well.

Snow College (JC – UT): Snow College is seeking home and home series with other JUCOs, D2, D3 or NAIA schools. Snow would be willing to return the trip. Virginia University of Lynchburg (NCCAA): Virginia University of Lynchburg is looking for countable guaranteed away games in the Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, eastern Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Pennsylvania areas.  The program is willing to travel further if necessary.  Open dates are September 1September 8, September 29, October 13October 20 and November 3. Boise State: Director of program development Chris Ross has been named head coach at Red Oak HS (TX), per Matt Stepp. Ross previously served as head coach at Wichita Falls HS, Cedar Park HS, and Prosper HS.

Michigan State: Eastern Michigan defensive line coach Chuck Bullough is joining Mark Dantonio’s staff at Michigan State reports Hondo Carpenter of SpartanNation.

Green Bay Packers: The Packers are moving Jason Simmons from assistant special teams coach to assistant defensive backs coach, per Alex Marvez.

Savannah State (FCS – GA): Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for Assistant Football Coach. This position serves as Defensive Coordinator for a Division I FCS program; leads and coaches according to the NCAA, State, National, MEAC and Institutional guidelines. Provides support to the Head Coach in all aspects of on-field coaching, player development, academic success, recruiting, film study, practice organization, position meetings, scouting opponents, and special teams coaching. Responsible for Defensive Scout Team and Game Plan development; recruits assigned area, monitors strength and conditioning of athletes; and is accountable for the performance of the Defensive team, including strategy, planning and adjustments. Responsibilities include community service/public relations, locker room, high school relations, and the supervision and training of assistant coaches assigned to the defensive staff. Coordinates activities critical to a successful football program; may be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description.
