Tennessee: Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports reports University officials have “considerable reservations” about Jon Gruden’s potential to be a successful college head coach. Earlier this week we shared what we had been hearing from coaches about the position.

Dordt (NAIA – IA): Dordt is looking to hire a full-time assistant football coach. Additional duties for each position could include teaching in the HHP department, assisting the sports information director, or other administrative/coaching duties. Applicants for either position must possess a BA with a Masters preferred. Three or more years of related experience is preferred. Candidates possessing a commitment to the Reformed faith and a desire to work with students and staff at a Christian college are encouraged to apply. Cumberlands (NAIA – KY): Per source, offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Paul Pitts and wide receivers coach / special teams coordinator Daniel Cotter have been let go.

Edinboro (D-II – PA): Interim head coach Wayne Bradford has had the interim tag removed and has been elevated to head coach. Bradford was given the interim title on March 29th, following the departure of Justin Lustig to become an assistant coach at Syracuse, and led the team to a 7-4 record this year.

Arkansas: Here’s what we’re hearing at Arkansas.

IUP (D-II – PA): Paul Tortorella, who was appointed interim head coach back on January 3rd before leading IUP on an 11-0 run and conference title this season, has had the interim tag dropped and been named the 12th head coach in program history. Tortorella spent the past 22 years as defensive coordinator.

Bethel (NAIA – TN): Bethel University has an immediate opening for a Graduate Assistant. The position will begin in January and will be responsible for coaching Linebackers or Defensive Backs. Experience playing the position is required. Strength and Conditioning experience along with knowledge of using HUDL will be strongly considered.
