College football hall of fame coach Frank Kush has passed away. The legendary Arizona State head coach of over 20 seasons is the school’s winningest coach of all-time. Please keep coach Kush and his family in your prayers.

Kansas City Chiefs: Head coach Andy Reid has signed an extension with the Chiefs. Terms were not disclosed. The Chiefs also announced they are parting ways with general manager John Dorsey.

Cal: Jon Wilner reports Cal increased the salary pool for Justin Wilcox’ assistants by $350,000 over what Sonny Dykes’ staff made.

Ohio State: Ohio State has promoted Kerry Coombs to assistant coordinator of its defense. He will continue as cornerbacks coach and special teams coordinator.

Utica (D-III – NY): Head coach Blaise Faggiano has promoted receivers coach Joe Gerbino to offensive coordinator.

Citadel (FCS – SC): Source tells FootballScoop, Charlie Hopkins will be the new tackles / tight ends coach at the Citadel. Hopkins was serving as offensive coordinator at William Penn and previously coached at Shorter and Brevard before that. Hopkins played offensive line at Georgia Southern.

Holy Cross (FCS – MA): Alma College assistant R.J. Chidester has joined the staff as tight ends coach.

Navarro College (CC – TX): Navarro College has an intern coaching position that starts immediately. The position provides housing and meals and does not provide a stipend, salary, or benefits. Duties will include coaching a position, recruiting an area, and assisting the staff with day to day football program operations. Coaching experience with DB’s is an plus. Northern Michigan (D-II): Northern Michigan University is seeking opponents for the followingdates in 2018: Sept. 1, Sept. 8, and Oct. 20. We are seeking Division II programs that would be interested in home and away contracts for the following 2019 season. NMU is located in Marquette, Mich., and plays in the Superior Dome. New Research: Categorizing the Perimeter Blocking Process for WR’s. Morrisville State College (NY) is one of those programs which still enforces blocking technique for wide receivers on the perimeter and it does so by teaching them to understand four distinct categories: pre-snap identification of defenders, approach, attacking/maintaining leverage and engagement. Bethany College (D-III – WV): Bethany College is a national liberal arts college located on a beautiful and historic 1,300 acre mountaintop campus in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia, 39 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. The state’s oldest private college, Bethany offers a wide array of B.A. and B.S. programs in more than 25 fields of study and a Master of Arts program in Teaching. Bethany College is seeking qualified applicants for the full time position of defensive coordinator. This position will report to the Head Football Coach and Director of Athletics. Duties include full responsibility for coordinating the defensive game plan, supervision of defensive coaching staff, coaching a defensive position, serving as recruiting coordinator and monitoring academic progress of student-athletes. Knowledge of and adherence to Bethany, NCAA Division III and Presidents’ Athletic Conference rules and regulations are also required. Additional responsibilities game management duties in the spring. Minimum qualifications include bachelor’s degree, three years’ experience coaching at the collegiate level and experience supervising assistants. Kentucky Wesleyan (D-II): Kentucky Wesleyan College has a defensive line coach opening immediately. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at minimum 3 years coaching Defensive Line at the collegiate level. Minnesota-Crookston (D-II): The University of Minnesota-Crookston, which plays in the highly competitive Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, is hiring a strength & conditioning/tight ends coach. This is a salaried position ($30-35,000 range) with full benefits. The position will be responsible for coaching their position, running the strength and conditioning program for the football team, and other duties as assigned. A bachelor’s degree, experience working in a strength & conditioning program and college football coaching experience are required. Williamette (D-III – OR): Willamette University is looking for a defensive backs coach.  This is a 12-month position that pays $16,000, has full benefits and a possible housing option. St. Ambrose (NAIA – IA): St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, is seeking a graduate assistant to coach WRs. The position will include a monthly stipend and tuition. We are looking for applicants that have a passion for coaching and the energy to perform all the duties associated with being a full time coach.
