    Mississippi State: The Bulldogs have (finally) announced a four-year extension for Dan Mullen. What this means for Mullen and the coming anarchy in the SEC West.

    Oklahoma State: In addition to Greg Adkins, Mike Gundy has announced the hiring of four assistants. Marcus Arroyo and Jason McEndoo will join Adkins as unspecified on-the-field assistants, and Bill Clay and Darrell Wyatt have been added as analysts.

    Erie Community College (NY): Scott Pilkey was introduced as head coach on Thursday.

    The Royal Caribbean cruise line PR department had the perfect response to stranding Urban Meyer (and 2,500 others) out at sea

    Wagner (FCS – NY): Per source, secondary coach Ryan Fullen will be taking over the defensive coordinator duties, and linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator Tony Brinson has added the title of special teams coordinator.

    Oklahoma State: Former Buffalo Bills tight ends coach Greg Adkins will become the new offensive line coach at Oklahoma State, per source. Adkins was with the Bills the past two seasons and previously coached the offensive line at Syracuse, Tennessee, Troy and Georgia.

    Minot State (D-II – ND): Minot State is looking to hire an offensive and defensive grad assistant. Previous collegiate experience coaching or playing is required. The job includes coaching a position, recruiting, use of digital editing system, and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach and coordinator. The position will begin August 1st. Compensation includes combination of Stipend and Classes. Candidates must apply and be accepted into the Graduate school to be considered.     Garden City (CC – KS): Per source, Sam Houston State offensive assistant Chris Rogers will be the new tight ends coach at Garden City.

    Big 12: Conference commissioner Bob Bowlsby made just under $2.5 million in 2013, per USA Today.

    North Greenville (D-II – SC): We hear North Greenville already has plans to fill the opening with Tommy Galt leaving for Penn State.

    Lamar (FCS – TX): Per source, Lincoln (PA) head coach Ramon Flanigan will be the new quarterbacks coach at Lamar.

    Penn State: North Greenville (D-II – SC) offensive line coach Tommy Galt will join the Penn State staff, per source.

    Notre Dame: Ron Powlus is returning to Notre Dame as director of player development, per 247.

    Alabama: Per source, South Alabama defensive ends / outside linebackers coach Freddie Roach has accepted a position at Alabama.

    Texas: Longtime assistant Bruce Chambers is now the assistant AD for Arlington (TX) ISD.

    Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jags are expected to hire former Jets GM John Idzik as a consultant according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

    Hawaii: Defensive intern Lance Samuseva has been promoted to defensive line coach according to SI.

    South Florida: Linebackers coach Ray Woodie has been named assistant head coach.

    Alderson Broaddus (D-II – PA): Alderson Broaddus University has an immediate opening for a graduate intern running back coach.     Old Dominion: Graduate assistant Arick Forrest has been promoted to wide receivers coach.

    Lincoln (D-II – PA): Per source, head coach Roman Flanigan will not return.

    Southern Miss: Per source, former FAU center Mustafa Johnson is joining the staff as an offensive grad assistant.

    Ohio Dominican: Per source, quarterback coach/ recruiting coordinator Zac Bruney has been promoted to Offensive Coordinator. Former Columbus South HS (OH) head coach Keith Dimmy has been hired as an offensive assistant.

    Arkansas: As expected, Jemal Singleton has now been announced as the program’s new running backs coach and special teams coordinator. According to WholeHogSports, Singleton’s deal is for one-year (through June 30th, 2016) and $310,000. He made $280,000 annually at Oklahoma State.

    Tampa Bay Bucs: Jacksonville Jaguars assistant defensive line coach Paul Spicer is joining the Bucs staff in the same role, according to multiple reports.

    Northern State (D-II -SD): Northern State is accepting applications for an offensive graduate assistant working with the tight ends. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: coaching a position group, managing a recruiting area, video breakdown, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Playing and/or coaching experience with tight end/offensive line is preferred. Position includes tuition waiver and stipend, with additional income possibilities. Start Date will be July 15.     Moorpark College (CC – CA): Per source, defensive coordinator Mike Stuart have been promoted to the head coaching position.

    New Mexico State: Per source, Valdosta State (D-II – GA) offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Andy Richman has agreed to become the new offensive line / run game coordinator at New Mexico State.

    Buena Vista (D-III – IA): Buena Vista University is accepting applications for an assistant football coach (defensive backs) and athletics equipment manager. The position will help plan, oversee, instruct, and implement the defensive philosophy, goals, and strategies of the BVU Football program as determined by the head coach and defensive coordinator. In addition, the athletics equipment manager oversees the laundering and storage of athletics apparel for all of our 19 varsity teams. Bachelor’s Degree required and Master’s degree in health, exercise science or a related field is preferred. A background check will be conducted on the final candidate.     Arkansas: Per source, Bret Bielema has offered the running backs / special teams coordinator position to Oklahoma State running backs coach Jemal Singleton. We hear Singleton has not accepted the position yet; but this could, and likely will, play out today. Update> Arkansas has now announced the hiring.

    Wisconsin-Whitewater (D-III): Per source, the staff at UW-Whitewater is starting to take shape. UW-Oshkosh (D-III – WI) co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks and receivers coach Craig Smith will be the offensive coordinator, former Augustana (D-III – IL) offensive line coach Brent Allen will handle the OL duties, South Dakota running backs GA Jace Rindahl will coach the linebackers, and UW-Platteville (D-III – WI) defensive coordinator / inside linebackers coach Rob Erickson will be the new defensive coordinator. We understand that it may be another few days for some of these hires to become official because of Wisconsin state hiring procedures,

    LSU: In addition to hiring Ryan Pugh as an offensive GA, per source, LSU is hiring Cooper Petagna as a player personnel assistant. He currently serving in the same post at Alabama. The New Orleans Times-Picayune also reports Blaine Gautier will join LSU staff as an offensive assistant.

    Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State University is seeking a full-time defensive coach (defensive line/linebackers). Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. 3+ years collegiate coaching experience required. Candidate needs to be able to coordinate special teams and assist in defensive game-planning. This position is a 12-month contract. Should have completed Undergraduate degree in Exercise Sport Science or relative field. Candidate must apply and be accepted into the High Altitude Exercise Physiology Master of Science program to be considered.     Simon Fraser: Former BC Lions running backs coach Kelly Bates will be the new head coach at Simon Fraser.

    LSU: Former Auburn center and Cincinnati offensive grad assistant Ryan Pugh is joining the LSU staff in the same capacity, per source.

    Wisconsin: The Badgers have announced salary information for eight of Paul Chryst’s assistants. Offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph will make $570,000 a year, and defensive coordinator Dave Aranda will earn $520,000. Each has a two-year contract. The rest of the staff will work on one-year contracts. Wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore will make $265,000, special teams coordinator Chris Haering and outside linebackers coach Tim Tibesar will each earn $250,000, defensive line coach Inoke Breckterfield and defensive backs coach Daronte’ Jones will both make $215,000, and tight ends coach Mickey Turner will make $125,000.

    Gardner-Webb (FCS – NC): Trey McCray has been announced as outside linebackers coach.

    Endicott College (D-III – MA): Hobart offensive coordinator Kevin DeWall has been announced as Endicott’s head coach.

    Simon Fraser: Per source, BC Lions receivers coach Khari Jones has turned down the offer to become head coach at Simon Fraser.

    Tennessee Titans: Executive VP Don MacLachlan has resigned after 24 years with the club according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. Wyatt also reports the Titans are hiring former Predators staffer Bob Flynn as vice president for facilities and game day operations.

    UCLA: Jim Mora officially announced the hiring of Tom Bradley as defensive coordinator and the promotion of Scott White to linebackers / special teams. Additionally, Mora announced the promotion of Demetrice Martin to assistant head coach.

    Western Michigan: Andy Howell has been hired as director of player personnel / recruiting coordinator and Jessica Larmony has been promoted to director of football operations. Howell has worked with the Jets and Browns over the past few seasons.

    USF: Former Florida director of player personnel Jon Haskins has joined the USF staff in the same capacity, per source.

    Miami: Per source, Al Golden has promoted Eric Joseph to director of player personnel, Jorge Baez to coordinator of on campus recruiting and is hiring Josh Darrow as assistant director of operations. Multiple outlets have also reported Darrow’s hire.

    Massachusetts: Villanova running backs coach Darrius Smith will join the UMass role in the same spot according to Sports Illustrated.

    Southeastern Louisiana (FCS): Per source, Blake Williams will be the new defensive coordinator for Ron Roberts’ staff. Williams, the former linebackers coach (and defacto defensive coordinator) of the Saint Louis Rams, served as defensive coordinator at William Jewell the past two seasons. – Southeastern has now announced the hire.

    Northern Arizona: Per a report from The Arizona Republic, Arizona State grad assistant Aaron Pflugrad is joining the staff at Northern Arizona as the wide receivers coach.

    Susquehanna (D-III – PA): Susquehanna University seeks assistant football coaches (interns) to coach DL and QB’s. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing or coaching. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, on the road recruiting in a specific area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. Salary will be $12,000 and includes medical benefits and some meals. No housing. This is a 10 month position.     Nebraska: Brian Stewart, the former defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach at Maryland, has officially been added to Mike Riley’s staff, and Jon Clark has been hired as a defensive grad assistant. Clark was the secondary coach at East Texas Baptist (D-III) last season.

    Doane College (NAIA – NE): Doane College, a nationally recognized liberal arts and sciences college in Crete, NE, invites applications for the position of offensive intern. Job duties include offensive skill position coach, possible video production responsibilities, recruiting, strength and conditioning and other duties assigned by the head coach. Will work with offensive coordinator in all aspects of game – plan preparation and position work. Graduate classes are available, although tuition is not provided.     Colorado State – Pueblo (D-II): Per the Pueblo Chieftain, head coach John Wristen has filled three positions on his staff. Gordon “Gordy” Shaw will coach the offensive line and be the run game coordinator, Jeff Hecklinski will handle the quarterbacks and serve as pass game coordinator, and Sam Sewell will take the running backs. Shaw is the former offensive line coach at Houston, Hecklinski coached the receivers at Michigan last season, and Sewell comes from McKendree (D-II – IL) where he was the running backs coach / special teams coordinator.

    McDaniel College (D-III – MD): McDaniel College has an immediate opening for part time running back coach/offensive skill position. Bachelor’s degree and playing/coaching experience at the collegiate level required. Compensation includes combination of small stipend and some graduate classes. No housing, no benefits.     Georgia: Recapping Georgia’s new support staff additions, many of which we’ve already reported: Aaron Hill (offensive QC), Steve Shimko (offensive GA), Chris Kragthorpe (offensive GA), Carter Blount (special teams quality control), Luke Moore (assistant player personnel coordinator), and Luke Abdulai (assistant recruiting ops coordinator).

    West Virginia: With Tom Bradley leaving for UCLA, we expect Bruce Tall to take over the defensive line role. With regards to the remaining open position on the staff, we don’t expect a defensive hire. We think Holgo will hire another great recruiter who will fill another capacity on the staff.

    UTSA: Mike Markuson, who spent last season as the assistant head coach / offensive line coach at Eastern Illinois, is joining the staff to tutor the offensive line, effective March 2nd. Markuson was the offensive coordinator / offensive line coach at Northeast Mississippi (CC) in 2013, and was the offensive line coach at Wisconsin prior to that.

    Yale (FCS): The New Haven Register has reported that defensive coordinator Rick Flanders is no longer with the program. He is expected to join Al Bagnoli’s staff at Columbia. Will update…

    Tennessee: Tennessee has an opening for a defensive grad assistant / quality control depending on factors. Please send resume, references and brief letter of interest to director of player personnel Bob Welton at bob.welton@utk.edu.

    UCLA: ESPN is reporting that Tom Bradley has been hired as defensive coordinator at UCLA. Bruin Report is also reporting that defensive quality control Scott White will be promoted to linebackers coach.

    Wheaton (D-III – IL): JJ Clark, who has spent the past two seasons as a defensive grad assistant at Akron, has accepted an assistant coaching job on the defensive side of the ball at Wheaton. Clark is a 2012 alum of Wheaton.

    Alabama: Per source, former Michigan director of football operations Justin Dickens will join Nick Saban’s staff in the same capacity. Dickens served as Michigan’s public and media relations director from 2011-2013 and then served as DFO for the 2014 season. He worked for the Indianapolis Colts for seven seasons prior to joining Michigan, the final four seasons with the Colts his role was manager of publicity.

    Louisiana-Monroe: Todd Berry has now announced the addition of Nate Brown as corners coach. The hire completes the ULM full-time staff.

    Virginia Tech: Per the Hokies’ 247 site, Max Warner has been added to Frank Beamer’s staff as an offensive quality control coordinator. Warner previously served as the offensive coordinator at Hillsborough HS (Tampa, FL).

    Kutztown (D-II – PA): Kutztown University is looking for a grad assistant. Previous collegiate experience coaching or playing is required. The job includes coaching a position, recruiting, use of digital editing system, and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach and coordinator. The position will begin August 1st. Compensation includes combination of Stipend and Classes. Candidates must apply and be accepted into the Graduate school to be considered.     Aurora (D-III – IL): Head coach Rick Ponx has announced a number of adjustments to his coaching staff; grad assistant Greg Whalen has been promoted to full-time offensive line coach, Tim Yourison (who spent last season coaching the receivers and coaching special teams at D-III Austin College in Texas) will be the new defensive coordinator, and Batavia HS (IL) offensive coordinator Mike Gaspari has joined the staff as quarterbacks coach.

    Clemson’s recruiting success boils down to two concepts: fit and culture

    Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals have reached new deals with GM Steve Keim and head coach Bruce Arians, and the two are now both under contract through 2018. Arians will now make an average of $6 million per year, and will have a team option for 2019.

    South Florida: Former Manatee HS (FL) head coach Joe Kinnan’s title will be offensive consultant on Willie Taggart’s staff. Also, Taggart noted today that he doesn’t plan on hiring a running backs coach until after spring ball.

    Aurora (D-III – IL): Aurora University is seeking applications for a full-time coaching position (defensive line ). Playing or coaching experience at defensive line on the collegiate level is required. Minimum 2-years collegiate coaching experience is preferred. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with ties to the Midwest. Responsibilities will include: on field coaching, practice and game preparation, on road recruiting, academic support, and other duties as assigned by Head Football coach and Athletic Director.     Ellsworth (CC – IA): Ellsworth invites applicants for an immediate opening of assistant football coach (offensive line coach).     Kentucky: Outside linebackers coach Andy Buh will make $200,000 this season and has a one-year deal the school has announced.

    NY Giants: Tom Coughlin is entering the final year of his deal, and when asked this morning on NFL Network about a contract extension Coughlin stated, “Something will come out on that shortly.” We’ll update as more information becomes available.
