Oregon: Michael Johnson has now formally been announced as the Ducks wide receivers coach.

Fresno State: Jamar Cain, who coached the defensive line at North Dakota State last season and who accepted the defensive line job at San Jose State back in January, is heading to Fresno State, per source.

Notre Dame: Sources tell FootballScoop that Texas State outside linebackers coach Tyler Santucci has accepted a defensive analyst role on Brian Kelly’s staff. Santucci previously worked under new Notre Dame defensive coordinator Mike Elko at Wake Forest a few seasons ago.

Texas State: Jordan Peterson, who spent the last few seasons at Fresno State, has been hired as outside linebackers coach and special teams coach. At Fresno State, Peterson started out coaching the secondary before moving to outside linebackers and assistant recruiting coordinator.

ESPN: The Worldwide Leader is reportedly looking to divvy up Chris Berman’s hosting duties, with a beloved college football reporter set to host Sunday NFL Countdown.

Texas A&M: Tam Hollingshead has been named director of high school relations. Hollingshead has been at SMU since 2008, most recently as the director of external relations.

Nick Saban: According to Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report, all six NFL organizations who went through a head coaching change this off season contacted Nick Saban. Freeman goes on to add “All were emphatically told ‘no thanks’.” I’m not certain whether Saban told them this directly. It could have been Saban’s agent or some intermediary. No matter the source, NFL people believe Saban wasn’t about to head back to the NFL, nor will he ever.”

Alabama: Chris Weinke is joining Nick Saban’s staff as an offensive analyst, per Aaron Suttles. Weinke most recently worked with the Rams as quarterbacks coach and prior to that was the director of football at IMG Academy (FL).

Urbana (D-II – OH): Sources tell FootballScoop that Jim Cordle (OL) and Stacey Hairston (DC) have joined Tyler Haines’ staff at Urbana. Cordle spent the past two seasons at Ohio State as a graduate assistant working with the offensive line, and Hairston is the former head coach coach at Wilmington College (D-III – OH).

Southern Oregon (NAIA): The three finalists for the head coaching job are Central Washington (D-II) offensive line coach and former Southern Oregon offensive coordinator Chris Fisk, St. Mary’s Catholic HS (CA) head coach Tony Franks, and Ashland HS (OR) head coach Charlie Hall. All three will interview this week according to The Oregonian.

FAU: FAU is looking to fill their video coordinator position. Interested candidates can send their resumes to [email protected].

Benedictine (NAIA – KS): Creighton Prep (NE) head coach Andy Yost is leaving to join the Benedictine staff as running backs coach, per source.

Washington and Lee (D-III – VA): WLU is looking to fill an open date with a home and home (Week 3 of 2018- home and 2019- away). Willing to offer a travel assistance for a one year deal at home. Interested programs can contact Assistant Head Coach Garrett LeRose at [email protected].

Howard University (FCS – Washington, DC): Per source, David Clowney is the new H-Backs / slots coach at Howard. Clowney is a former wide receiver with the New York Jets who served as the assistant wide receivers coach at FIU last year.

Tennessee: Tony Sorrentino has joined the Vols staff in a quality control role, per multiple reports. Sorrentino previously served as an assistant wide receivers coach for the Jaguars.

Kentucky Christian (NAIA): Sources tell FootballScoop that Mississippi College (D-III) graduate assistant / safeties coach Cody McCallister has been hired to coach the defensive backs.

Shippensburg (D-II – PA): Shippensburg University is seeking applicants for a defensive graduate assistant position (Defensive Backs). Applicants must be self-motivated and detail oriented. Coaches with passion and great work ethic will be considered first. Compensation includes tuition up to 9 credits per semester and a stipend. Housing and meals are not included. Job duties include coaching your own position, practice planning, scouting, video breakdown, skill and team instruction, all phases of recruiting and all other responsibilities assigned by the head coach. Defensive back coaching and/or playing experience preferred. Minority applicants are encouraged to apply. Santa Monica College (JC – CA): Per source, University of La Verne recruiting coordinator / defensive backs coach Vince Reiss is leaving to become the offensive line coach / run game coordinator at Santa Monica College.

Massachusetts Maritime Academy (D-III – Buzzards Bay, MA): MMA is seeking a part time QB Coach. This position will have a seasonal stipend of $5,500.00 (August-December) and a spring practice stipend of $800.00 (May). Must be willing to start ASAP and be able to be at all Spring Practice sessions starting May 1st from 3-6Pm (Mon-Thurs) in addition the coach will assist with a variety of additional areas depending on his experience (S&C, Recruiting, Academic Support, Fundraising, Video, Etc) Must be able to commute to campus and preference will be given to applicants with at least 1 year of coaching experience.
