Benedictine University (D-II – IL): Brad McCaslin has been named head coach. The long-time Nebraska Omaha assistant, most recently was on staff with Lance Leipold at Buffalo serving as a defensive analyst.

Occidental (D-III – CA): After a strong recruiting effort and fundraising campaign that raised over $970,000, the school has announced that they will play football in 2018. Occidental was forced to cancel their last four games of the 2017 because of injuries and low numbers.

Texas State: Texas State University has an immediate opening for two volunteer defensive interns. Responsibilities include developing scouting reports, film breakdown, weekly practice preparation, and any assignments delegated by the defensive coordinator and head coach. Looking for dedicated and detail orientated people that want to advance their career in the coaching profession at a Division 1 FBS school. This is strictly a VOLUNTEER position. Study shows that more and more top recruits are opting for out-of-state schools

Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State is looking for a running back graduate assistant. Computer/Graphic skills preferred. Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA) and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. Compensation package includes $8,000/year and Full-Tuition waiver. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until filled. Official start date will be in August; however, looking for someone that can also help at our summer camps. Dodge City (CC – KS): Dodge City Community College has an opening for a defensive line coach with an anticipated start date of May 25th. This is a full time position with duties that include any and all responsibilities associated with maintaining a nationally competitive junior college football program. Northwood (D-II – MI): Northwood is looking to hire an offensive line coach / recruiting coordinator. This is a full time position coaching the Offensive Line. Experience coaching the offensive line in a Double/Triple Option system REQUIRED. Position will be responsible for assisting the head coach and offensive coordinator in all day-to-day operations. Responsibilities will include practice organization, game plan preparation, scouting/game breakdowns (Hudl), positional organization, academic accountability, recruiting, and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. Candidate must be highly organized and show a commitment to leadership and developing young men both on and off the field. This position will also hold the role of Recruiting Coordinator who will be responsible for the organization and management of all aspects of Recruiting. Responsibilities will include, game day visit organization, academic liaison, both unofficial and official visit coordinator, and recruiting software management (JumpForward). USF: Athletic director Mark Harlan has signed a three-year contract extension that will keep him leading Bulls athletics through the 2020-21 school year. Harlan is currently in his fourth year leading USF athletics.

Carleton (D-III – MN): Wisconsin-Stevens Point (D-III) head coach Tom Journell has accepted the head coaching job at Carleton. Journell has led the UWSP program since 2012, and previously served as the head coach at Elmhurst (D-III – IL) from 2004-2007. Journell went 29-31 the past six seasons at UWSP.

Charleston (D-II – WV): Per source, former Akron defensive graduate assistant Nick Verna is joining the staff as wide receivers coach.

Urbana (D-II -OH): Urbana University seeks applicants for the full-time defensive coordinator position. Birmingham Southern (D-III – AL): Jacksonville State (FCS – AL) graduate assistant Tyler Robinson has been hired to coach the wide receivers.

Texas College (NAIA): Texas College is looking for a home game on either Sept. 1st or Sept. 8th 2018. We are looking for a home and home contest with the team coming to Texas College for the first year. We are considering D-3 and NAIA programs.
