Pittsburg State (D-II – KS): Head coach Tim Beck has announced a number of personnel changes to his staff. Former Pitt State 4-time All-American Nate Dreiling has joined the staff in a full-time role coaching the safeties, and linebacker coach Carl Roth is adding the title of recruiting coordinator. Also, we understand that secondary coach Lance Cullen has left the staff to pursue other opportunities in the private sector.

New Research: 3rd Level Glance RPO from Trips Formations – In two-high defensive structures, the boundary safety is asked to play both an exterior gap in the run game and a vertical threat in the pass game, which makes him extremely vulnerable for RPO’s if the QB can read his intentions successfully. In his exclusive clinic report with X&O Labs, Nick Coleman, the OC at Itawamba Community College (MS) combined his counter trey concept with his most productive weak side vertical routes to produce a third level RPO. It gives the QB five built in post-snap options. The Indians finished third nationally at the JUCO level in total offense this season, registering 563 yards per game. Click here to read the report.
