Idaho State (FCS): Sources tell FootballScoop that head coach Mike Kramer is being let go after six seasons and a 18-50 mark, including a 2-9 record in 2016. More on the move here.

Cincinnati: Tom Phillips, who recently stepped down as the head coach at Pickerington North HS (OH), is joining Luke Fickell’s staff in an administrative role per the Columbus Dispatch.

Syracuse: Dave Boller has been announced as the program’s new director of player personnel. Boller arrives at Syracuse after serving as the director of high school relations at Louisville for two seasons.

Independence CC (JC – KS): Independence Community College has a defensive line intern position available. Responsibilities will include coaching your own position on the Defensive Line and will have your own recruiting area along with any duties assigned by the DC or head coach. The position only offers Housing & Meals! Candidates who has video breakdown experience and Computer knowledge, especially, Visio, excel, Photoshop experience will be given first interviews. SMU: Director of high school relations Claude Mathis is leaving to become the head coach at Marshall HS (TX) reports Matt Stepp. Mathis is the former head coach at DeSoto (TX).

Augsburg (D-III – MN): Augsburg College has an opening for a football graduate assistant coach. The ideal candidate would have recently earned their Bachelor’s Degree with a 3.0+ GPA and played 4 years of college football as a DB or LB.  Looking for someone that wants to make college coaching a career. Will coach OLB’s, recruit own area, be in charge of direct mail and equipment. Position pays full graduate tuition for two years and a $500 per month stipend. Looking for June 1st start date. Copiah-Lincoln (JC – MS): Micah Davis, former University of Kansas offensive quality control coach who also played quarterback for Copiah-Lincoln quarterback, has joined the staff coaching quarterbacks and wide receivers and former Troy defensive graduate assistant Bernard Goodrum is the new linebackers coach.

Bethune Cookman (FCS – FL): Ross Talbert, who worked as a video coordinator last season at Cornell, has joined the staff in a video role.

Kansas Wesleyan: Source tells FootballScoop, Joe Morrissey has joined the staff as offensive coordinator. Morrissey, who spent the ’16 season as head coach at United Township (IL), served as an assistant at KWU for the 2014 & 2015 seasons. With this hire, the staff at Kansas Wesleyan is now full.

Detroit Lions: Heading into the final year of his 4-year contract, Jim Caldwell said he wasn’t concerned with his contract status. “We’re not going to discuss anything dealing with the contracts,” Caldwell told the Detroit Free-Press. “I mean, that doesn’t matter. It really doesn’t.

Los Angeles Chargers: LaDanian Tomlinson has joined the club as a special assistant to the owner.

Missouri S&T (D-II): Missouri S&T has open dates for Sept 1st, Sept 15th and Sept 22nd 2018. Considering all options. Contact head coach Tyler Fenwick at [email protected].

LSU: Mike Caputo, a former Wisconsin defensive back, has joined the LSU staff as a defensive assistant to start his coaching career.

Edinboro (D-II – PA): Edinboro has named Wayne Bradford as the interim head coach. Bradford joined the staff in 1999 as defensive coordinator and has worked under four head coaches since then. He takes over for Justin Lustig, who recently joined the Syracuse staff.

Minnesota: David Parker, who has been on the Arkansas staff since 2012, most recently in a defensive quality control role, has joined the Minnesota staff as a defensive graduate assistant.

Idaho State: Pat McCann, the former wide receivers coach at UC Davis (FCS) has joined the staff and will coach the wide receivers.

Navarro (JC – TX): Navarro College has a defensive coordinator position open. This is a full time, full benefited, faculty positon. Interested applicants must apply through the Navarro College website via this link. Preference will be given to individuals with previous football coaching experience. Defensive coordinator experience is preferred. The individual must demonstrate good interpersonal relationship, communication, organizational, and recruiting skills. Salary is commensurate with Education & Experience (This is a 10 month position to be paid over 12 months annually). No phone calls please.
