    Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jags have promoted Chris Polian to director of player personnel, Chris Driggers to director of pro personnel, and Casey Belongia to scouting assistant. The club also named consultant John Idzik to special assistant to the general manager.

    Endicott (D-III – MA): The Endicott College Football program is seeking qualified applicants for both an Offensive Intern position and a Defensive Intern position. These positions will assist the head football coach in all facets of the program, including practice/game planning and player development, coaching their own position group, and recruiting. Preference will be given for experience with receivers or quarterbacks for offense and defensive backs or outside linebackers for defense. Bachelor’s degree is required. Each position comes with a salary based on experience and availability, no benefits, and no housing. Local coaches and graduates from the area, including minorities, are encouraged to apply.     Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State is looking for an offensive graduate assistant (tight ends).  Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA), enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester, and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications.  Compensation package includes $8,000 and Full-Tuition waiver.     Monterey Peninsula College (JC – CA): Monterey Peninsula College has a defensive coaching position open. Position area is flexible. Duties include position coaching, strength and conditioning, video production, and recruiting. Minimum requirements include a bachelors degree, and at least two years of college coaching experience. Stipend is approximately $10,000 for coaching; plus a potential to earn an additional $5,000 to $10,000 a year in Booster Club follow up. Position starts immediately.     Hiram (D-III – OH): Hiram has an opening for a volunteer assistant defensive back coach. The position has no stipend or benefits. This position will assist the head coach in all facets of the sports program including, but not limited to, helping coach the safeties and corners, and the development and implementation of individual fundamental skills. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, strong managerial, administrative, interpersonal skills, and computer proficiency. Prior playing or coaching experience at the college/university level is preferred. Flexibility is required for scheduled practices and competition during the season.     Orange Coast College (JC – CA): Orange Coast College is seeking defensive line coach / football academic support program/strength and conditioning coach. This positions pay range is $25,000 to $28,000 per year. Must have college DL coaching experience, and have a passion for helping student athletes prepare and succeed in the classroom. Must have bachelors degree, masters preferred. This is an year round position with NO BENEFITS. Polynesian coaches encouraged to apply, but best candidate will be chosen.     Mary Hardin-Baylor (D-III – TX): The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is looking for an opponent for one home game during the 2016 season either September 17th or 24th. UMHB is also looking for two opponents for the 2017 season, both of which we desire to travel too (one being a reciprocation of the 2016 opponent).     It saddens us to pass along news that Kyle Kirchoff, an assistant at the College of Dupage (IL) passed away over the weekend at just 24 years old. Please keep his family, and the Dupage community in your prayers.

    Capital (D-III – OH): Capital is looking for local applicants for a volunteer defensive backs coaching position. Looking to bring someone on board with 3 years of coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level. Interested applicants can send their materials to football@capital.edu.

    Stetson (FCS – FL): Stetson University is accepting applications for a full-time defensive assistant coach. Applicants with defensive line or linebacker experience are preferred. Special teams experience is also desirable. This position is responsible for all aspects of their position and other collateral duties assigned by the head coach. The position is a 12 month appointment with full benefits. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required and a Master’s is preferred.     Bemidji State (D-II – MN): Bemidji State is seeking a graduate assistant to work with the offense coaching the wide receivers. Candidates must be accepted into graduate school, 2.75 GPA is required. Responsibilities will include coaching your own position as well as running your own meetings, video breakdown, will be given a designated recruiting area, and any other responsibilities assigned by the head coach or offensive coordinator. Salary is $8,500 and 12 graduate credits of tuition waived. Previous coaching/playing experience required preferably as a wide receiver or quarterback. Minorities are encouraged to apply.     Oberlin (D-III – OH): Oberlin College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of defensive assistant coach.     Northern Michigan (D-II): Northern Michigan has an opening for an entry level assistant offensive coach with a preferred emphasis on running backs or H-backs. Responsibilities include recruiting an area, film breakdown, and other administrative duties assigned by the head coach. Successful candidate must pass background check.     New York Jets: The Daily News is reporting that the Jets have promoted assistant pro personnel director Matt Bazirgan to pro personnel director. Bazirgan replaces Brendan Prophett, who spent 9 seasons as the head of the pro personnel department before being let go earlier this month.

    Western New England (D-III – MA): Per source, WNE has added Kyle Jones as a defensive assistant, and Nick Ulassin as an offensive assistant. Jones is a former linebacker at WNE, and Ulassin just wrapped up his playing career at Gettysburg (D-III – PA).

    Alma (D-III – MI): Alma College is looking for a local coach to work with the TEs or RBs. This is a part-time, entry level position. Interested candidates can send their resumes and a cover letter to RJ Chidester at chidesterrj@alma.edu.

    NFL: Former Detroit Lions head coach and Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz will serve as a consultant for the NFL’s officiating department this fall according to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports.
