    Garden City (CC – KS): Per source, Chris Rogers has been promoted to offensive line coach. Rogers takes over for Nate Haremza who accepted an offensive grad assistant position at Southwestern Oklahoma State (D-II).

    Cal: Sonny Dykes announced the hiring of John Lovett as the team’s new corners coach earlier this afternoon. Lovett had been with the Philadelphia Eagles organization the past few seasons.

    Arizona Cardinals: Bruce Arians announced today that Jen Welter will work with the staff this off-season and through the preseason as part of a coaching internship. Former Steelers linebacker Levon Kirkland will also work with the staff through a new Bill Bidwill Coaching Fellowship. Welter, an assistant with the Indoor Football League’s Texas Revolution, is believed to be the first woman to “coach” in the NFL.

    American International College (D-II – MA): Linebackers coach / recruiting coordinator Kris Kulzer has added the title of assistant head coach. Kulzer has been with the program for five seasons.

    University of British Columbia: Per source, Coffeyville CC (KS) defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach James Colzie III is heading to the University of British Columbia to serve in the same capacity.

    Millsaps College (D-III – MS): Millsaps College is looking for volunteer assistants for the 2015 season. Local applicants only as this is strictly a volunteer position. If interested contact offensive coordinator Jason Guthrie at guthrjs@millsaps.edu. Deadline to apply is Friday, July 31.

    Northwest Oklahoma State (D-II): Per source, former University of Houston player Andrew Stewart has accepted a grad assistant position on staff working with the inside wide receivers. We also understand that grad assistant Joseph Foteh will move from coaching the corners to the outside receivers.

    Catholic University (D-III – Washington, DC): Catholic University in Washington DC is currently looking for 2 intern assistant coach to work with an offensive skill position (TEs and WRs). The successful candidate will be a college graduate and possess previous college playing and/or coaching experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in practice and game planning, video breakdown and analysis with Hudl, and positional skill work. This position begins August 10, 2015. Positions include a $3,000 stipend, housing, and meals are only provided during preseason camp. This is a part-time seasonal position with responsibilities that run only to November 14th.     Prairie View A&M (FCS – TX): Prairie View A&M is looking to hire one or two interns. Interns will assist with recruiting, film breakdown, and assisting the coaching staff.     Franklin Pierce (Sprint – NH): Franklin Pierce University(Sprint College Football) is looking to hire a part-time assistant football coach. Stipend included.     Nebraska-Kearney (D-II): Kevin Bleil will coach the tight ends on Josh Lamberson’s staff. Bliel most recently coached the wide receivers at Texas A&M Commerce (D-II).

    Western New Mexico (D-II): Offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Reilly Murphy has added the title of assistant head coach. Murphy’s offense scored the most points and gained the most yards in school history last season in his first year coordinating the offense.

    North Texas: The University of North Texas has a special teams quality control position available with an immediate start date. This is an unpaid position.     UAB: Per source, Heath Thomas will be the new special teams coordinator for Bill Clark’s program (once HR paperwork can be finalized). Thomas served as director of player development on the 2014 team.

    Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers have announced a two year extension for GM Kevin Colbert (through the 2018 draft).

    West Virginia Wesleyan (D-II): Former Bluefield College (NAIA) defensive line coach Russell Norton has accepted the same position at (D-II) West Virginia Wesleyan College.

    Mississippi State: Kevin Roberts has been promoted to defensive grad assistant at Mississippi State.

    Arizona Western College (JC): Located in Yuma, Arizona, Arizona Western is searching for a LB’s coach. This is a part-time position with a stipend of $6,800 plus housing. Responsibilities will include recruiting and coaching your own position. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, collegiate playing experience and or coaching experience, excellent communication and leadership skills.     UAB: Per Zack White, former Jacksonville State linebacker Robert Gray has joined the staff. We understand that nearly all roles on the coaching staff are in the process of being filled on staff and it’s just a matter of paperwork being finished up to complete the hires. Will update as things become official. As we told you last night, one of those positions is offensive coordinator, where Bill Clark intends to hire Les Koenning.

    NFL: Tod Leiweke of the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL) has resigned to become the Chief Operation Officer for the NFL.

    Jacksonville University (FCS – FL): Per source, defensive line coach Ernie Logan is heading to IMG (FL) as the defensive line coach. Any inquiries about the defensive line position should be addressed to Jerry Odom at jodom2@ju.edu.

    Thomas Moore (D-III – KY): Thomas More College has two intern positions open with an immediate start date. The first position is with the offense preferably offensive line. Duties include: breakdown opponent film, assist the offensive line coach in daily drills, Offensive Coordinator for the JV football team, be responsible for their own recruiting area and other duties given by the offensive coordinator and/or head coach. The second position is on the defensive side of the ball, which preference given to the linebacker position. Both positions must have bachelor’s degree. Positions include stipend for the year, room and board. No grad school available.     Wayne State College (D-II – NE): Wayne State College has an immediate opening for two defensive graduate assistant coaches. The graduate assistants primary coaching responsibilities will be defensive backs and defensive line. Previous experience is preferred. Applicants must qualify for the State of Nebraska defensive driving certificate. Graduate Assistantships are granted based on acceptance into Graduate School at Wayne State College.     Lindenwood-Belleville (D-II): Dale Carlson, the former head coach at Valparaiso (FCS) and Ohio Dominican (D-II), has been announced as the new head coach.

    North Carolina A&T: Thomas Howard has been hired to coach the inside linebackers. Howard previously coached the linebackers and special teams at the University of Findlay (D-II – OH).

    Eastern Michigan head coach Chris Creighton has written a moving letter to future football moms

    South Florida: Assistant head coach / linebackers coach Raymond Woodie has added the title of special teams coordinator.

    Chadron State (D-II – NE): Bruce Carpenter has been hired to coach the wide receivers, per source. Carpenter spent last season as the offensive coordinator at the University of Montana Western.

    UAB: Per source, Bill Clark intends to hire Les Koenning as his offensive coordinator at UAB. Koenning coached the receivers at Texas this past season and served as the offensive coordinator at Mississippi State and Texas A&M for approximately ten years prior to that.

    South Alabama: As we reported a month ago, South Alabama has now formally announced Colin Hitschler as director of player operations. See details on The Ops Scoop.

    Texas – Permian Basin (D-II): UTPB has openings for graduate assistants on both sides of the ball.  The position pays $9,000 for a 9 month contract.  Positions available on offense are RBs, TEs and WRs.  Interested offensive applicants need to send resume and references to Coach Scott Preston at preston_s@utpb.edu.     Pittsburgh Steelers: Mike Tomlin’s contract has been extended through the 2018 season.

    ESPN: According to Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand, here’s how ESPN’s college football studio coverage will shake out this fall – Adnan Virk will replace Rece Davis in the ESPN studio (who replaces Chris Fowler on GameDay), working alongside Joey Galloway and Danny Kanell. Mark May has been moved to ABC, where he’ll sit with John Saunders and Mack Brown. Chris Cotter will host on ESPN2 with analysts Butch Davis and Robert Smith. ESPNU will have Matt Schick (host) with Charles Arbuckle and Kevin Carter (analysts). Joe Tessitore will be the studio host for ESPN’s College Football Final studio show.

    Coffeyville CC (KS): Coffeyville CC is looking to fill defensive interns position for the 2015 season. There is no package that comes with this position, its strictly voluntary (no meals, no housing, no pay). However, promotions to resident assistant positions are a possibility as positions become vacant. This is an opportunity for those who want to become college coaches to gain experience working with a good college program. Film duties, practice planning, game planning, equipment, and any other duties assigned by the head coach will be tied in with this position.     Kansas State: Bill Snyder told ESPN last night that when he retires he would like to see his son Sean replace him. Sean Snyder has been with the Kansas State program for over two decades and currently serves as the assistant head coach / special teams coordinator.
