North Carolina: Former Purdue running backs coach DeAndre Smith is expected to join the UNC staff in the same capacity reports InsideCarolina.com.

East Carolina: After being arrested early Tuesday morning for operating a vehicle while impaired, former Purdue interim head coach Gerad Parker will now not be hired by East Carolina reports Brett McMurphy. Parker, reportedly, was set to be the new receivers coach at ECU prior to this incident.

Ole Miss: The NCAA is hammering Ole Miss – charging the University with Lack of Institutional Control, Hugh Freeze with violating head coach responsibility legislation (both of which Ole Miss plans to appeal). Further, Ole Miss has imposed a 2017 bowl ban and will forfeit nearly $8 million in SEC post-season distributions. Much more here…

Auburn: Opelika High School head coach Brian Blackmon is expected to join the staff as an analyst according to Brandon Marcello of Auburn Undercover.

New York Giants: Defensive assistant Rob Leonard has been promoted to assistant defensive line coach.

West Florida (D-II): Former Abilene Christian defensive coordinator Darian Dulin is now UWF’s defensive backs coach, former Georgia Prep Sports Academy quarterbacks coach Riley Swanson has been hired as running backs coach, and former FIU tight end and GA Blair Peterson has been hired as tight ends coach.

Heidelberg (D-III – OH): Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio, has an immediate opening for a full time offensive assistant coach. Preference given to coaches with quarterback experience. Aaron Price: Aaron Price has been named head coach at El Paso Hanks High School (TX). The former UTEP assistant, and son of Mike Price, coached this past season at Humboldt State.

Larry McDaniel: Former Indiana defensive line coach Larry McDaniel has been hired as head coach of St. John’s Jesuit (OH).

Charlotte: Charlotte has now made their hiring of Greg Adkins official. He takes over as offensive line coach and Johnson Richardson moves to tight ends as we reported.

Washington: Matt Lubick’s title at Washington will be receivers / co-offensive coordinator.

Arizona: Sources tell FootballScoop Arizona has already filled the offensive grad assistant position which opened with Kylan Butler leaving to become running backs coach at Glenville State.

Michigan: Michigan has now formally announced the addition of former Hawaii defensive coordinator Kevin Lempa as senior defensive analyst as was reported a few weeks back. Two weeks back Hawaii promoted Legi Suiaunoa to fill Lempa’s role.

Louisiana Monroe: Sources tell FootballScoop McNeese State offensive line coach Eman Naghavi will join the ULM staff next week as their new offensive line coach. Chandler Rome is also reporting the same.

Houston: Taking a look at Major Applewhite’s contract, which contains some provisions we can’t remember seeing in any other head coaching deals before.

UTSA: UTSA has announced Bo Davis as its new defensive line coach. Davis was Alabama’s defensive line coach until resigning last spring in connection with multiple NCAA violations. Last month AL.com wrote an update piece noting that “a college team likely won’t hire Davis while the NCAA investigation is ongoing and until he’s served whatever penalty he gets from the NCAA.”

Washington: Sources tell FootballScoop Matt Lubick is on his way to join Chris Petersen’s staff at Washington. Update: Washington has now confirmed the hire.

Baylor: Co-offensive coordinator / receivers Matt Lubick has left the staff (more on that to come). Matt Rhule is promoting quarterbacks coach Glenn Thomas to co-offensive coordinator. More to come on Baylor’s plans to fill the open receivers position.

Glenville State (D-II – WV): Kylan Butler, offensive grad assistant at Arizona, will be new running backs coach at Glenville State College source tells FootballScoop. 

Air Force: Former Minnesota offensive line coach Bart Miller and former Purdue wide receiver Taylor Stubblefield have joined the staff as tight ends and wide receivers coach, respectively.

Appalachian State: Defensive backs coach Scot Sloan has been promoted to co-defensive coordinator.

Alabama: Nick Saban is promoting from within to fill the position of director of player development according to Marq Mitcham who reports Denzel Devall will now fill the role Freddie Roach occupied until he left recently to join the Ole Miss staff. Denzel joined the Tide staff in July as a personnel development assistant. He moved to an assistant strength coach in January and now will serve as director of player development per the report.

Chicago Bears: The Bears are adding Brandon Staley as outside linebackers coach per Adam Caplan & FootballScoop can confirm. Staley was the 2016 FootballScoop Division-III Coordinator of the Year for his work at John Carroll University. Staley had been slated to go with head coach Tom Arth to UT Chattanooga as defensive coordinator.

Baltimore Ravens: Former Georgia State defensive coordinator Jesse Minter has accepted an off-the-field job with the Ravens, according to Bruce Feldman.

Kentucky: Salary information for a number of Mark Stoops’s assistants has been released, courtesy of the Louisville Courier-Journal’s Jon Hale — offensive coordinator Eddie Gran has signed a 3-year deal that pays him $825,000 in 2017 and rises by $25,000 a year; defensive coordinator Matt House has signed a 3-year deal worth $650,000 a year (both coordinators have $150,000 buyouts per year remaining on their deals); outside linebackers coach/special teams coordinator Dean Hood will make $350,000 next season; and defensive line coach Derrick LeBlanc will earn $300,000 next season.

Charleston (D-II – WV): Ohio graduate assistant Zack Johnson will join the Golden Eagles’ staff as linebackers coach.

Chicago Bears: Tennessee receivers coach Zach Azzanni is leaving to become the new receivers coach of the Bears multiple outlets are reporting and FootballScoop can confirm. We understand the Bears made a very strong offer to entice Azzanni to come.

USC: Indiana running backs coach Deland McCullough will be USC’s new running backs coach, sources tell FootballScoop. Steve Wilfong 247’s director of recruiting first reported the interest. McCullough is a former FootballScoop Running Backs Coach of the Year finalist.

Princeton: Princeton football is seeking to fill a social media coordinator position. Applicants should be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Suite, Adobe Premier Video Editing and InDesign. Applicants should also be proficient in all social media platforms. This is an internship position with no housing, meals or benefits provided. Chicago Bears: Former Niners special teams coordinator Derious Swinton II is joining the Bears’ staff as assistant special teams coordinator according to Alex Marvez.

Defiance College (D-III – OH): Ball State offensive line grad assistant Doug Ehinger is joining the Defiance staff as offensive line coach source tells FootballScoop. Ehinger previously coached at Albion College and Hanover Horton HS (MI).

Blinn JC (TX): Assistant coach Jason Smith is now the head coach at Beaumont Kelly Catholic High School (TX).

Assumption College (D-II – MA): Assumption College, an NCAA Division II institution competing in the Northeast-10 Conference, is seeking applicants for a Wide Receivers or Quarterbacks coach. Responsibilities include coaching a position group, maintaining a recruiting area, and all other tasks assigned by the Head Coach. Preference will be given to those with prior coaching experience at the Wide Receiver or Quarterback position, experience using HUDL, Adobe Photoshop, and ARMS recruiting software.  Minority applicants are encouraged to apply. Indiana State: We are told Wayne State defensive coordinator Brad Wilson is now the defensive coordinator at Indiana State.
