Stephen F. Austin is set to hire Lucas Lovejoy (Texas) High School head coach Chris Ross as its new offensive coordinator, sources told FootballScoop on Tuesday. The news was first reported by Dave Campbell's Texas Football.
In four seasons at Lovejoy, located northeast of Dallas, Ross went 45-9 overall (28-2 in district) with three berths in the regional finals.
Ross owns 190 career wins spread across six different Texas high schools, and spent 2016-17 as the director of program development at Boise State.

Ross will become the seventh member of Colby Carthel's SFA staff to play or coach Texas high school football.
He replaces Matt Storm, who spent 11 seasons with Carthel. The pair won a Division II national championship together at Texas A&M-Commerce in 2017. Storm and SFA parted ways in December following a 3-8 campaign.
