Iowa: The University of Iowa Football Strength and Conditioning is accepting internship applicants for Fall 2024. This internship is designed for individuals who want to become collegiate strength coaches. This is an unpaid volunteer position. Duties include: Set up and breakdown of the weight room, equipment maintenance and general support of the daily operations of the program, stocking supplements and maintenance of our refueling station. Interns will have the opportunity to be involved with our functional movement screen, on-field and weight room testing as well as data analysis. Participation in an internship curriculum is also required. Qualifications: Applicants must be pursing or have completed Bachelors in Exercise Science or a related field. Ohio: Ohio University Strength & Conditioning is now accepting applications for a Strength and Conditioning Internship for the Fall 2024 semester. The internship will start on an agreed upon August arrival date to December 7, 2024. Applicants will gain practical experience working and coaching in a DI football, and the possibility of assisting with other sports if desired. Interns will have time to work a second job if needed. The purpose of this internship will be to have you GA ready when completed. Interns must be receiving credit from their institution, or the internship must be a requirement for attaining a degree. Minimum requirements: hardworking, passionate, detail orientated, and has the desire to work in the strength & conditioning field. Responsibilities will include: Daily maintenance of the facility and all its equipment. Setup and breakdown of weight room and field for all training sessions. Assisting in the coaching of those sessions. Learn and assist with the implementation of GPS, Heart Rate technology and data entry. This program will also consist of weekly educational projects and practical sessions to further develop as a strength and conditioning coach. This is an UNPAID position. Ellsworth CC (JC - IA): Ellsworth CC is seeking candidates for two Football Strength Interns. Coaching/Playing experience as well as strength certification are preferred but not required. This position is a volunteer position that comes with housing and a meal plan. This is a great opportunity for new coaches to get their foot in the door at the college level as well as coach looking to satisfy internship requirements from another University.
