Video: Titans release first look at their future $2.1 billion home (Tennessee Titans)

When word first started to circulate that the Tennessee Titans were planning to build a new stadium estimated to cost over $2 billion (that's billion...with a B), it didn't take long to start to daydream about what an NFL stadium carrying that kind of price tag would look like.

While there have been renderings released, nothing quite delivers like a video, and yesterday the Titans shared a first look at what they're planning for.

The new 60,000 seat stadium will sit on 15 acres on the east bank of the Cumberland River, and is set to take a few years of construction, opening in 2027.

One of the most notable design features of the new build will be the stadiums translucent roof, and the design of the outside of the building will be like nothing you've ever seen from a professional sports team and will be set up nicely to host future College Football Playoff games, Final Fours, and possibly the Super Bowl as well.

Of the $2.1 billion total, Nashville is set to use at least $1.26 billion in public funds, which is the most ever for a US Stadium project, crushing the previous record of the Bills, who recently secured funding of $850 million in public funding for their new home.

Take a look.
