Western Michigan has unveiled all of their facility upgrades with this video, and by all standards "impressive" pretty much sums up the new look.
Not only was the football facility itself (the Brown Alumni Football Center) given a face lift, but so was Waldo Stadium and the Donald J. Seelye Athletic Center. In total, the renovations came with a price tag of $3.4 million, which was made 100% possible through donations.
Everything got freshened up a bit, and the use of graphics everywhere gives it quite the "wow" factor.
One of the more modern and impressive touches was the the touchscreen Kiosk highlighting the tradition of the Bronco program, the community of Kalamazoo, and the current team in the main lobby. Only a handful of other major college programs have one that even compares. Recruits will love interacting with it as they wait in the lobby. It's a very nice addition.
“I wanted to make sure it represented the future of the program, but also the present and the past,” P.J. Fleck told MLive. “We were able to incorporate that. Everyone who ever played Bronco football, we want to make sure when they walk through they’re proud of their team. It was the generous donations of a lot of people that believe in this program and believe this program can be a national program and go where it’s never been.”
What you'll see in the video is an impressive transformation. Fleck and his staff have assembled some very respectable recruiting classes since coming to WMU, and this is another (rather large) pearl to add to their overall pitch in Kalamazoo.
