Rich Rodriguez and West Virginia reportedly set to lose assistant to the NFL (Rich Rodriguez)

Rich Rodriguez retained two assistants from Neal Brown's staff, and a recent move means both have now moved on to different opportunities.

247 Sports shares Blaine Stewart is expected to leave Morgantown and return to the NFL to coach with the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Stewart had been retained to coach the team's inside receivers after coaching the tight ends under Brown the past two seasons. The opportunity with the Mountaineers marked his first coaching opportunity at the college level.

The move to the NFL marks a return for Stewart, who previously worked with Mike Tomlin and the Steelers in quality control roles on both offense and special teams before moving to assistant receivers coach.

He becomes the second coach to leave during spring ball, joining running backs coach Chad Scott who left for the running backs job on Steve Sarkisian's staff at Texas.

Stewart, the son of former Mountaineer head coach Bill Stewart, was making $225k this fall and was in the final year of a two-year contract, the report adds.
