Days after making an important coordinator hire, we're told Chuck Martin has finalized a shuffling of his offensive staff heading into spring practices.
Sources tell FootballScoop that Chris Hudson has been elevated from offensive graduate assistant working with the receivers to running backs coach.
Hudson was a former standout receiver for Chuck Martin's squad before suffering a career-ending injury.
He decided to pursue a career in the coaching profession and spent time as the receivers coach at Concord (D-II - WV) and Mount St. Joe (D-III - OH) after stops developing his coaching skills at the middle and high school levels in Cincinnati, Ohio.
With the promotion of Hudson, sources share that Martin has decided to move offensive coordinator Pat Welsh - who has coached a number of different offensive positions in his young career - from running backs to tight ends, and Andy Cruse will move from tight ends to now coaching the receivers.
