We have a March head coaching change in college football, as Stanford has decided to part ways with head Troy Taylor.
Stewart Mandel was among the first to shares the news, and the school has since announced the decision.
The move comes following a report last week from ESPN where Taylor was the subject of two investigations into the treatment of female colleagues.
Interviews uncovered that Taylor had a significant blind spot on how his direct communication was received by Cardinal staffers, including a culture that was "not welcoming" to women.
General manager Andrew Luck made the decision to part ways with Taylor, and shared a statement we've included below on the decision.
Luck notes that a search for new coaching leadership has begun, and an acting coach may be named for the 2025 season.
Taylor was set to enter year three leading the Cardinal, posting back to back 3-9 seasons after replacing David Shaw as the program's head coach.
He leaves Stanford with a 6-18 record after a successful run at Sacramento State where he went 30-8 over three seasons, including three-straight FCS playoff appearances where they advanced to the second round his first two seasons before breaking through to the quarterfinals in 2022.
The move marks the 29th FBS head coaching change of the 2024-25 cycle.
