On Tuesday we kicked off our annual series examining the salary market for Power 5 position coaches by looking at the offensive line. Today, we move to the exact opposite part of the field.

The trend here has been in place for a while. As defenses moved to a base look with five defensive backs, the industry has responded by staffing two full-time coaches in the secondary, and one of those two is typically a pass game/co-coordinator title if they're not running the defense outright.
