Despite interest from a number of college football's blue blood programs this off season, as well as at least one FBS head coaching job, Indiana's Curt Cignetti was able to retain defensive coordinator Bryant Haines.
The architect of one of the most impressive recent defensive turnarounds will return for a second year leading the Hoosier's defense and perhaps just as importantly as retaining one of the top defensive coordinators in the country, the entire defensive staff is also returning to "run it back" after the Hoosier's appearance in the College Football Playoff.
Now, sources share Cignetti is bolstering his staff with an addition in the secondary.
Sources tell FootballScoop Indiana is adding Cam Haney, who had been on staff at Tulsa in an analyst role, to a quality control position in Bloomington.
We understand Haney will work alongside corners coach Rod Ojong assisting in the defensive backfield.
A former Utah State corner, Haney spent his first few seasons as a full-time on-field coach at Murray State (FCS - KY) as corners coach.
