Brock Huard, the analyst on Fox's No. 2 college football team, is leaving the television booth to join the coaching staff of his son's high school team.
Huard will be the tight ends coach at Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, Colo., where his son, Titus, plays quarterback. Titus Huard is a 2028 signal caller listed at 6-foot-5, 195 pounds. He played JV football as a freshman in 2024 but already reports an offer from Stetson.

Brock Huard played six NFL seasons after starring at Washington, then moved into broadcasting. He hosts a daily talk show in Seattle in addition to calling games on the weekends, where he's been Fox's No. 2 analyst behind Joel Klatt since 2019, working alongside play-by-play announcers Joe Davis and Jason Benetti. He's also called NFL and XFL games for the network.
“I’d like to still do [announcing] down the road, but for these years, these formative years, my son’s gonna be a sophomore. These are years I’ll never, ever, ever get back—and I’m gonna jump into it,” Huard said on the Real Hawk Talk podcast, via FOS.
Huard indicated he will continue with his radio show, and the coaching experience will make him a better broadcaster when he eventually returns to calling games.
“I’m going to learn a lot of football,” he said. “I told him, for 18 years I’ve been in reaction mode. So much of my radio show, so much on game day. Yeah, I project, and I try to see how the game’s unfolding. But most of it is just reacting. [I’m] kind of excited and anxious to see what it’s like on the other side, to prepare, to be in ‘go mode’ from the coaching end of it—and learn a lot. I think I’ll be a better broadcaster, I think the radio show will be better.”
The Huards are arguably the top quarterbacking family west of the Rocky Mountains. Brock's older brother Damon played at Washington and in the NFL, his younger brother Luke played at North Carolina is now USC's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, where nephew Sam, Damon's son, is on the roster. The family patriarch, Mike Huard, has been in the Washington State Football Coaches Association since 1998.
Valor Christian is one of the top high school programs in Colorado. The Eagles have won at least 10 games every season but one since 2009, with eight state championships and three undefeated seasons. Last week, the school hired former Western Kentucky head coach and Boise State, Notre Dame, Utah State, Minnesota and Colorado offensive coordinator Mike Sanford, Jr., as its head coach. Like Huard, Sanford has continued hosting a daily sports talk show since taking the Valor Christian job.
