Iowa State's wide receiver coach Noah Pauley talks to media at the school football facility on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Ames, Iowa.

Sources confirm to FootballScoop that the Green Bay Packers are dipping into Matt Campbell's new Penn State staff to fill an opening on their offensive staff.

Noah Pauley, tabbed to coach the receivers in Happy Valley, is set to join the Packers as their new receivers coach, as the team recently made the decision to part ways with Ryan Mahaffey.

CBS Sports has also shared the news on Pauley.

The 2024 FootballScoop Wide Receivers Coach of the Year, Pauley followed Campbell to Penn State after a successful run developing receivers at Iowa State.

Pauley was among the candidates that interviewed for the 49ers offensive coordinator opening last year, and has been a fast-riser in the coaching profession.

Heading into the 2024 season in Ames, Campbell added pass game coordinator responsibilities to the rising star in a season that turned out to be the best in Cyclones history.

Iowa State ended that year 11-3, the first season in school history with double-digit wins, and and ended the year with a win over Miami in the Pop-Tarts bowl.

Receivers Jayllin Noel and Jayden Higgins were the first duo in school history, and one of just two pairs nationally in college football to finish with 1,000 receiving yards or more.

Higgins finished the season with 87 receptions for 1,183 yards and 9 touchdown catches, while Noel had 80 catches for 1,194 yards and eight touchdowns. Both players finished among the top 10 nationally in receiving yards and combined for an impressive 10 100-yard receiving games in 2024.

Both were selected in the in top three rounds of the NFL draft, and Pauley also helped develop current Green Bay star receiver Christian Watson as well.

Prior to joining the Iowa State staff, Pauley coached the same position at FCS power North Dakota State from 2019 through 2022. During his time with the program they won two Missouri Valley Conference titles and brought a pair of FCS national titles back to Fargo.

Watson was an FCS All-American for the Bison, and three-time All Conference selection, leading the team in receptions for three-straight seasons.

As a player at Division II Minnesota Duluth, Pauley was a four-year starter from 2007-10, playing on teams that went a combined 45-8 and captured two Division II national titles. After his playing career ended, he joined the staff as a student assistant in 2011 and spent five seasons on staff. He eventually rose the offensive coordinator post, which he held from 2016-18 coaching six all conference players and an All-American during his two stints with his alma mater.
