Sources: D-II Henderson State lands former SEC assistant as offensive coordinator (Henderson State football)

Former Florida quarterbacks coach Ryan O'Hara is expected to be named the next offensive coordinator at Henderson State, a Division II school in Arkadelphia, Ark., sources told FootballScoop on Thursday.

O'Hara spent the past four seasons with the Gators, beginning as an analyst and concluding his run as interim offensive coordinator. Along the way, O'Hara helped Anthony Richardson and Graham Mertz become NFL draft picks and DJ Lagway win Freshman All-America honors.

Prior to Florida, O'Hara helped Levi Lewis become the first Louisiana quarterback to throw for 3,000 yards in a single season and set a school single-season record with 26 touchdown passes. The 2021 Sun Belt Championship MVP left the Ragin' Cajuns as a top five QB in yards, completions and touchdowns.

O'Hara brings coordinator experience with him to Arkadelphia, serving as the offensive coordinator at Alabama A&M from 2016-17, with previous stops on the California junior college circuit.

He joins a Reddies program that has finished 8-3 or better in each of its past six seasons. Henderson State topped 28 points in seven of its eight wins last season, and head coach Greg Holsworth signed a 3-year contract extension last month. Holsworth set a program record with 16 wins over his first two seasons.
