A HS player in California is accused of rubbing Icy Hot on a player's face during a game (Featured)

A few weeks ago it was two Texas high school players targeting a referee, then it was a New Jersey player ripping off an opponents helmet and hitting him in the head with it, and now we have a situation in California involving Icy Hot.

Word out of local news outlets in California is that one player brought Icy Hot onto the field and covered an opposing player's face with the substance during a game. You can imagine the pain that was inflicted.

Angel Salazar of La Canada HS (CA) was the player whose face was covered in Icy Hot, and he made a mad dash to the sideline after a player on Salesian HS (CA) appeared to reach underneath his face mask during the play to spread the gel around. It was all caught on video, which the school has released.

Check out the local news (above) for the full run down. Update> Salesian's Principal has called La Canada's Principal to apologize for the incident. The Salesian player was held out of Thursday's game.

With the recent rash of high profile incidents, coaches everywhere have to be wondering what's going on with high school football...
