Here’s one for you.
Following the 2010 season, we reported that New Hampshire defensive line / special teams coach Jake Zweig had left the staff.
We hadn’t heard much about Zweig since then, but now we know why. Zweig has been in California for several months filming Season 3 of the elimination-style marksman competition, “Top Shot.”
In short, you will soon see Zweig “blasting” on TV.
Sounds like a bit of a stretch for the average football coach? Not for Zweig. He is a military veteran and a former member of the elite Navy SEAL special forces. In preparation for the show, Zweig shot 15,000 rounds of ammunition…in just two weeks. (That’s a lot of blasting.)
Now that the show has been filmed, Zweig is currently serving an internship with the Oakland Raiders coaching staff as part of the NFL Bill Walsh minority internship program.
Check out the preview to the show, which premiers on the History Channel on August 9th at 10 PM EST.
