Al Golden: Outside influences won't set our agenda

Temple is predicted first in the MAC East, but Al Golden doesn’t want outside influences set the agenda for his Owls.

Golden says, “For us to build this program we didn’t create our expectations from outside in. We established our own identity and our own expectations, and our own goals. We not, now, going to look to the outside and put pressure on ourselves.”

“We’re going to go back to the basics and follow the process. Once you win 9, you can go back to eight, seven, or six. Whether or not we’ll be as good a team as last year, that remains to be seen.”

(on being picked first in the MAC) “That just means we are relevant. That’s nice, but that’s it. I think we’ll continue to be humble and stick to the process.”

"The biggest thing is for the wide receivers and tight ends to take the pressure off (the running game and Bernard Pierce)."
