After returning to the sideline for a few weeks to lead the Badgers in the Rose Bowl after stepping down back in 2005, Barry Alvarez reflected recently on the game and how it has evolved, noting that nothing has really changed since the last time he roamed the sidelines.
"I don't think the game has changed at all," Alvarez says in the latest Path to Pasadena installment at the Rose Bowl media day.
"You have different formations, but the game is cyclical. Right now, pretty much everybody is spreading the ball out and going fast paced, but I think that will change. I think people will catch up to that."
"The one thing that hasn't changed is that it's still about fundamentals. It's still about blocking and tackling, and making plays." he explained.
