A year ago this week, Kevin Sumlin was overseeing Houston's 11-0 start. Now in charge of the Aggies, Sumlin and his crew are riding a five game winning streak (that includes a win over previously #1 ranked Alabama) heading into this weekends match up with Missouri, a team that this squad has yet to get a win against. Not to mention he's also got a redshirt freshman quarterback calling the shots who's a favorite for the Heisman trophy.
Asked at his press conference today if this has been one of the wildest years of his coaching career, Sumlin responded by saying "I don't know. As a coach, you really don't have a chance to enjoy a lot of things until it's over with."
"Your always going on to the next game, beacuse you guys are always saying 'This next game is the biggest game of the year,' or 'It's a trap game'. So I think after the season you do a lot of reflection, but it's been fun."
At the about the 12:30 Mark, Sumlin provides some great insight on why he has always had a soft spot for senior class when he's taken over a head coaching job. Some good quality material in there.
