Attention punters

"If you're lucky enough that we trust you to run a fake, after you get the first down please get what you can and then go down or out of bounds."

Every coach in America.

In last night's Oklahoma State vs. Arizona game, Mike Gundy called a fake punt in which the punter kept it off the right edge. The punter, Quinn Sharp, easily got the first down, then decided to stay in bounds and lower his shoulder against the defender rather than heading for the sidelines.

After the game, Gundy was quick to say that he would have been a whole lot happier if Sharp had simply headed out of bounds.
