Baylor put the wrong score on their Holiday Bowl rings. Or did they?

If you watched the Holiday Bowl last December, you saw Baylor plant UCLA with a black eye to the tune of a 49-26 final score. If you didn't watch the Holiday Bowl, and the only thing you know about the game is learned from looking at one of the Bears' bowl rings, you'll believe Baylor won by the final score of 49-19.

According to the official record of the game, UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley hit Logan Sweet with a 34-yard touchdown pass as time expired. However, everyone except the officiating crew saw that Sweet in fact did not reach the end zone, but was tackled at the one-yard line. See for yourself below.

Head coach Art Briles wasn't pleased about the call then, and the Bears are doing something about it.

A ring commemorating a Holiday Bowl win is about as far away from "official" as you can get, so why not do something like this? After all, bowl rings are bought by the school as gifts for coaches, players and athletic department personnel. Why not have a little fun with it?

History is written by the victors, after all.
