Biggest SEC victory since 1971

Saturday, Vanderbilt posted a 30-7 win over Ole Miss...Vandy's largest margin of victory over an SEC opponent since 1971. That's 40 years folks.

Vandy is now 3-0, with wins over Ole Miss, Connecticut and Elon.

In Saturday's game, Vanderbilt picked off 5 Ole Miss passes and they rushed the ball for 281 yards on 49 carries. Franklin has his kids focused "on the next 6 seconds". He's taught them to forget the past and to play in the now...and he's recruiting the future.

The schedule is about to get nasty for the 'Dores with road games at South Carolina and Alabama; before they return home to host Georgia, Army and Arkansas...then they go to The Swamp.

They then close out the season with Kentucky at home, at Tennessee and at Wake Forest.

It won't be easy; but if Franklin can get this team back into a bowl and get some more athletes onto campus this Spring and Summer we might be hearing a lot from James Franklin for a long time to come.

Below is his post game presser. A very emotional Franklin opens up with, "That win is for Chancellor Zeppos and Vice Chancellor Williams. That win is for our kids. That win is for our coaches and how hard we worked. That win is for our loyal fans that have showed up here for a long time looking for something to believe in."
