Coming off a huge road win 24-19 win over Oklahoma last weekend, Bill Snyder and Kansas State focused on using their bye week to improve themselves.
As Snyder likes to say, they're going to "keep sawing wood" through their bye week.
''The motivation has to be to get better, become a better football team, become a better player. Maybe there are other motivating aspects for each individual, you'd have to ask them, but I'd like primarily for it to be a better football team.''
The staff planned for meetings-only on Monday and Friday, with practices Tuesday through Thursday and a scrimmage on Saturday morning. After the scrimmage the staff will hit the road recruit for the weekend. Snyder said that his staff will use the time to examone every aspect imaginable and work on correcting any shortcomings before facing Kansas next weekend.
“I would hope the week would be spent trying to improve our capabilities and there would be some inspiration to do that,” Snyder said. “You don't have the hustle and bustle of preparing for the next opponent right away, but we need time to continue the improvement.”
