Caragher: Look at injuries as an opportunity to build depth

After their spring scrimmage on Saturday, new San Jose State head coach Ron Caragher pointed out that while they played without 8 of their 18 best players on offense, they were able to get plenty of value from spring ball.

"We were talking earlier, and of our top 18 offensive players, eight of them were injured or on the shelf. So I see that as an opportunity to develop depth." Caragher noted.

"I think the difference between really good teams and average or poor teams is depth. You can usually hang with people, but you want to develop depth."

That's a great point and a great outlook to have when you're missing play makers on either side of the ball during the spring. Focus on the opportunity to create depth through injuries as a staff when you've got guys not able to participate.
