First-year Louisville head coach Charlie Strong wasn’t pleased with the Cardinals’ practice on Wednesday afternoon inside Papa John’s Stadium.
Following practice, Strong told the media, “We wasted a day. We came out there today and we didn’t compete. In the stadium, you would think once we go into our house that our guys would compete, but we didn’t. It’s very disappointing because with 10 (practices) to go (before Kentucky), you would think guys would be fired up and ready to play.”
Strong added, “It’s all about leadership right now. Some guys on this team need to step up and be a leader."
Louisville will host Kentucky on Saturday, September 2nd. The game will kick-off at 3:30 pm EST on ABC.
