As if there isn't enough buzz surrounding the program at St. Francis (NAIA - IL) already, the program's new lids came to our attention last night.
The gold dome look is out and the matte look with the stenciled mascot is in. The stands out and is very unique ,which should help to set them apart on the recruiting trail in an area of the country (Chicago suburbs) that is very highly recruited, and loaded with quality talent. Chicago was recently ranked as the 5th best metro area for high school football talent in the country by MaxPreps.
Speaking of that buzz around the program, the Saints will have their work cut out for them this fall with arguably one of the toughest schedules in the NAIA. Of the 11 opponents on St. Francis' schedule, five of them begin the season nationally ranked, including the defending national champions in Marian University (IN).
