The Dan Patrick Show typically provides some funny entertainment and today was no different.
Patrick talked today with Boise State head coach Chris Petersen about the new rule that will not allow Boise State to wear blue on blue uniforms during conference home games.
Peterson said the Broncos are going to change from a blue turf to orange turf.
Ok, he was kidding, but Petersen isn’t happy with the new rule announced last week at the MWV media day.
Wait a minute, though. Are they really done wearing all blue?
What if Boise State just said the heck with it and went blue on blue during a Mountain West Conference game this year?
Petersen responded, “That is a great question because that hasn’t been answered. Who knows, maybe we do show up blue on blue. Maybe this year it’s TCU. Everybody seems to want to see that game. The good thing is the kids don’t care.”
The problem isn’t what you think it is, according to Coach Pete.
“When you analyze our tape, it’s tougher to see. There is some truth to that. That was the main complaint, the tape. But everyone is going to this high definition stuff anyway, so you’re going to be able to see better. So that was more of the complaint…the tape, not the game.”
By the way, Petersen did promise, “The blue field is going nowhere, I can tell you that.” Take that, Rocky Long!
