A Big East showdown between Cincinnati and West Virginia is scheduled for Saturday at noon on ABC.

Cincinatti brings a 7-1 (3-0) record into Saturdays game and brings one of the nation’s top run defenses into the game allowing only 87 yards per game on the ground (6th in the country). 

This season the Bearcats are ranked 3rd in the country in turnover margin. In Butch Jones’ 5 years leading D1 programs at Central Michigan, and Cincinnati he has ended the season with a positive turnover margin in 4 of those 5 seasons (last season they finished -15, 119th in the country).

West Virginia (6-3, 2-2) has had success forcing turnovers as well this year, collecting multiple interceptions in 4 of their 9 games this season. Offensively, the Mountaineers average 6.7 yards on first down, followed by 6.3 yards on second down, and 7 yards on third down. First down success will prove pivotal for each team.

Be sure to keep a close eye on the game as it heads into the fourth quarter, where Cincinatti is 39-0 when they have the lead entering the final quarter.
