Jill, from Hoscton, had a little advice for Mark Richt during the call-in segment of Richt’s Monday night radio show.
According to Marc Weiszer of the Athens-Banner Herald, Jill voiced her opinion that Richt ought to lead the team out of the tunnel on game day just like Dabo Swinney and Nick Saban do for their respective teams.
Richt responded, “You make a good point. What I’m going to do here, Jill, is I’m going to lead the pack coming out of the tunnel, OK? I hope I don’t pull a hamstring and I hope they don’t run me over.”
In hopes of jump starting his team, Richt made a big change to Monday’s typical light practice. Instead, the Bulldogs went full pads and turned up the intensity with a physical practice.
“We hadn’t been blocking and tackling real good, so we decided to have a little spring ball today,” Richt said. “We decided to put the pads on and get after it.”
UGA hosts Tennessee on Saturday. Kick-off is set for 12:21 pm EST on the SEC-Network. You can see the entire Week #6 TV Schedule right here.
