Franklin: 'Calling plays isn't that difficult'

With a bowl game no longer a foreign idea for the majority of his players down in Nashville, James Franklin told his guys at their bowl meeting yesterday that making it a bowl game is now what is expected every season, and that's just the bare minimum of what's expected.

"Going to a bowl game is the minimum around here. This isn't year one. This is year two now. You are veterans in the system."

"We are programmed for winning. That's the mentality. Make sure that you guys understand that this is another opportunity to go out and get a dub."

After practice yesterday Franklin noted that calling plays on game day really isn't all that difficult, but there are three or four plays a game where your really need to be dialed in to make a good call. He also noted how important it is to balance your game plan with taking shots down field at the right times.
