In 2011, Harding University (D-II) was coming off a strong 6-4 season where all 4 of their losses came by seven points or less. Last season, despite finishing with the top rushing offense in the country and a top 25 scoring offense they ended up 4-7, losing a handful of close games.
However, with brand new facilities now in place, Harding should be primed to do some big things in the years to come. The facilities put the University near the top tier of D-II schools in terms of facilities, and overall athletic support.
The new facilities include meeting rooms, a 4,000 square foot locker room facility that house 130 lockers, 7,000 square foot weight room (a major upgrade from the former 2,000 square foot space), and a 5,000 square foot athletic training area complete with rehab space, and a hydrotherapy room. Previously the athletic training facility occupied two rooms that didn't combine for 1,000 square feet. Definitely some major upgrades.
We've got a few pics below; but an in depth look at the finished facilities can be found by going here.
