BYU got the best of Washington State last night, winning 30-6.
However, Mike Leach saw some promise. "We're a lot closer than we realize," he noted afterwards.
"We've got to be a mentally tougher team. Any time we were about to ignite or catch fire, something negative would happen."
"We can't have all theses basset hound looking faces on the sideline as coaches, we've got to improve that."
Leach said that it was tough for them to put a string of good plays together.
"We squandered too many plays. We'd get a play or two going and look pretty good, and then we'd squander two more and never really got into a rhythm."
