Mack Brown has entered spring ball with a new approach on accountability within the Longhorn program.
Brown and the rest of the staff have decided to grade every off season action, both on and off the field. The staff will then rank each player on a scale from "Poor" to "Exceptional" on everything from working hard in practice, to classroom attendance, to sitting at the front of the classroom.
The reward for those who go above and beyond what is expected, is to be called to stand before their teammates at the front of the room to model their efforts, and for those who aren't at the front of the room to recognize what being accountable means.
Brown added "...we're not going to say who's not doing well. We just won't call them up (to the front of the room)."
