In effort to create excitement about the 2011 season, the Ole Miss athletic department has launched a new marketing video featuring senior tailback Brandon Bolden.
Bolden has a unique talent due to some nifty film editing. (See video below)
This is the first video Ole Miss has produced highlighting a specific player. In recent weeks, we have seen South Carolina and USC produce videos of similar nature.
In addition to the video, Ole Miss is also utilizing interstate billboard space throughout the state of Mississippi and around the Memphis, TN area to help generate anticipation of the season.
This year, Ole Miss doesn’t appear to have a national spotlight type of player such as Eli Manning, Patrick Willis, Mike Wallace, Michael Oher, or Dexter McCluster. One of the ways Ole Miss has tried to get fans to look forward to the season is publication of the 100 improvements that fans will see on game day this season inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
The schedule, from a fan’s perspective is pretty good as well. The home schedule begins with BYU on September 3, 2011. The other home games include Southern Illinois, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, LA Tech, and LSU.
