The FootballScoop Staff would first like to thank you for your viewership of the site. For years, our mission has been quite simple; to help coaches.
Since 1999, FootballScoop has served as the premier source for coaching job information. Most importantly, we want you to enjoy reading the positive natured content that we adhere to.
For years, we have stayed away from writing about information regarding NCAA violations, arrests, “hot seat” speculation, and other negative material that much of the media covers.
There is a place for that, but just not on FootballScoop. That’s not who we are.
Rather, we enjoy keeping you educated on what other coaches around the country are saying and doing with their programs. From time to time, we’ll try to add a little light-hearted humor.
We’re not really here to judge or outrageously speculate. We want coaches, first and foremost, to enjoy visiting the site 5-6 times a day.
One year ago today, we launched the current look of FootballScoop. Over the past year, we have had over 1 million unique viewers visit the site. Our core audience (those that check the site 3-5 times per day) includes coaches from over 800 colleges, all 32 NFL offices, and over 11,000 high schools.
As August camp begins, we are here daily covering the profession, keeping you informed about what coaches are saying and doing with their programs, new and creative marketing ideas, along with The Scoop.
Our staff will continue to report on all of the interesting post-practice coach’s media sessions, press conferences, and new marketing ideas from respective programs.
We also want to wish you the best of luck this season.
A couple of important updates:
More and more coaches are creating twitter accounts. If you’ve recently created a twitter account, be sure to follow us @footballscoop. We’re already up to 3500 twitter followers.
Facebook Update: Since we reached our full capacity of 5,000 friends on Facebook last week, we have now created a brand new business page on Facebook, where you will need to “Like” us in order to see our posts. Our updates on Facebook will only be on the new page from this point on, so in order to see our posts, click here and “Like” the page.
Also, in case you haven’t downloaded the FootballScoop iPhone App, we highly recommend that you do so. It’s less than the price of a cup of coffee, so download the FootballScoop iPhone App it right here. You can also download it straight from your App Store on your iPhone.
As always, we welcome your feedback and emails. Since 1999, all sources have remained confidential. Let us know how we can improve the site.
