Sark proud of vets, pumped about freshman class

Coach Sark, who you can follow in the FootballScoop Twitter Center, seemed really pleased with the first day of practice at Washington.

“I was proud of our veterans to get our new kids ready. For the veterans to give them an idea of what practice is like and where to go was really good. We really tried to go through practice in the AM meeting this morning to address exactly where we are going and what we’re trying to get done.”

“All in all, I was very impressed with this group (freshman). I thought they competed really well. It’s a very athletic looking group. If I could make one quick assement after practice...if they can’t help us on offense and defense, they're surely going to help us on special teams. I mean, these guys are really athletic kids.”

“This is the first time (since being at UW) we’ve gone 1’s, 2’s, and 3’s on the offensive line because of our depth.”
