Photo: Stanford's recruiting pitch is simple and brilliant

In the age of flash, Stanford is refreshingly simple. Everybody else four wide receivers and snap the ball every 16 seconds, Stanford throws out as many offensive linemen and tight ends as the rules allow. It worked in 1953, still works in 2013 and will keep working in 2053.

Similarly, we're in the age where flash sells in recruiting. Breath-taking infographics, snazzy videos, lasers shooting out of eyeballs, the whole gamut. Everyone except for Stanford. In sending out recruiting information to the 2014 and 2015 classes, the Cardinal prepared a Fast Facts straight out of Microsoft Word.

Of course, when you've won two straight Pac-12 championships, sit just days away from playing in your fourth consecutive BCS bowl and offer one of the best college experiences in America, it doesn't really matter what your presentation looks like, recruits are going to notice.
