Experts will try to pin a value on making a bowl game and the revenue (and gifts) that it produced for teams this season, but the experience that these coaching staffs and players earn with extra practices, and the bowl activities can't be measured.
Take these two very different bowl trips for example. Brian Kelly and his team captains at Notre Dame, and Kyle Flood and his Rutgers team captains got the opportunity to open the trading day up at the New York Stock exchange this morning as part of the Pinstripe Bowl festivities. Halfway around the country, just a few days ago, Texas Bowl opponents Minnesota and Syracuse had some good old fashioned fun during some down time in what has become known as the Rodeo Bowl.
Two very different, but equally memorable experiences for members of both teams.
